Compu box had Floyd the most accurate boxer statistically which is probably accurate. The exact numbers might not be reliable but the overall narrative based on the punch stats seems to be valid. In that sense, I believe it is a good measure but not a tool to be used validate who won or who lost a fight.

CompuBox isn't reliable period. There are numerous examples of it being totally fraudulent upon video analysis. Not sure why some of you act like you can get a measure of anything that isn't accurate. If the stats aren't accurate, then the overall narrative isn't accurate either, it's useless.

It has a human factor which is imperfect but it doesn’t mean it’s completely fabricated. They may miss a landed punch here or there but ultimately they catch the nuances of the fights. The overall narrative usually aligns with how most fights are called. The stats show certain boxers being more accurate like Floyd, Rig and Loma, which you really don’t need compu box to validate that as fact...just one Good eye and half a brain would suffice. It also calculates within reason more defensively sound or boxers who are more busy...again, not down to an exact science due to human error but close enough to use as a tool to offer a different perspective.

Scientifically, you can get anything from such inaccurate method. I'm not sure what you aren't understanding about that. It's not rocket science. Take the Hopkins vs Calzaghe fight. CompuBox had Calzaghe landing 232 punches, but video analysis doesn't show Calzaghe landing 50 punches. What type of trend, and narrative can you take from that fraudulent CompuBox stat? You can't get **** from it, scientifically. No narrative, no trend, no accurate connect rate nothing.

It's not a science so therefore it shouldn't be relied on as a tool that decides the outcome of a fight. It's just another metric that offers another way to look at a fight or fighters through a different scope.

It's not that I'm not understanding you, it's you that is not understanding me. Judging a fight is not sciences either....much of it is subjective but that doesn't mean it's impossible or even difficult to know who deserves the victory after two fighters hear the final bell. The punch stats is merely another unofficial way to dig into fights and the fighters through numbers.

Out of thousands of fights you pull out one, two, three....maybe four bouts where the stats could be completely off...like the Joe C vs Hopkins fight, but typically they aren't that skewed. We have the same thing going on with terrible decisions like the draw given to Canelo vs GGG.

It's one bad decision vs the countless other decisions that were appropriately called based on the action between the combatants inside the ring. It doesn't mean all the judges or every fight that goes to the cards are robberies. Just like not every compu box total is completely off.

The stats are usually significantly off, that is the problem. Point me to the fights that back up your statements man. I provided you examples, and could provide you many more. The vast majority of CompuBox stat fights, are grossly off as far as CompuBox punch stats. Try Pac vs Mayweather, Pac vs Clottey, Pac vs Bradley I, either of the Hopkins vs Taylor fights, Williams vs Lara, the list goes on and on and on man, it isn't a small minority of fights where this is the issue, it is the majority of fights.

I haven't recounted the punch stats on every fight I've watched but I have counted landed punches in fights and crossed referenced them to the total landed punches from compu box at times and they've been within 1 or 2 landed punches. Compu box was never meant to score fights. I never used it as such. But it is interesting to see another metric to compare how it Aligns with the actions. Most of the time it seems to paint a similar picture

I'm leaning towards Rigo via Doctor Stoppage. Loma has fetus skin. I mean, Rigo spars 147lbers and they praise his power.

Loma 'enters the matrix' and gets a new face.
