Andre Wards stock will go way up when Kovalev wins back ALL THE BELTS

Ward and Kovalev are pretty much neck and neck. Almost nothing separates them in h2h ability. I scored the first fight 6-6 with Kovalev getting the win due to the KD, the second fight was 1 points either way until Ward TKO'd Kovalev's balls. Kovalev has more size, but Ward has the home court advantage in their fights.

It's basically even.

Casuals may drool over Ward but we all know how Kovalev got stiffed by the judges the first time round. Ward is a boring, dirty fighter that lucked out.

 

And way down if Kova turns up getting spanked by the likes of Beterbiev and Bivol. Nonsense to speculate about that now.
Ward fans always want to give him credit for others beating the guys he didn't fight himself.

 

I don't agree.

Hiss win against Barrera was impressive, but he fought 2 light heavy and then retired. Even if Kovalev won against Stevenson, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol and Barrera, that doesn't mean Ward would've beat them. Styles make fights.

That's like saying Ward's stock went up when he refused to fight Bute and Froch destroyed him.

 

His style and personality were unbearable !

well its only natural that a guy who moved up for a bigger challenge, would be expected to do so again.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Ward's next opponent came in with a sort of a cloth rollbar over his Johnson.

Its possible especially when people who never saw his fights with Kovalev look back but I think the nature of the wins in that the first looked very debatable to me and the second where Ward looked to me like he had fouled take the shine off somewhat
