I got Terrible Terry who'd probably the best at 154 of all time. Or maybe Hearns.

I have Norris by decision Winky's style would not match up well with Norris's all around talent

I do think Winky was top tier talent that was a throw back in many ways

You do remember when Terry Norris backed out of fighting Tito, right? From what I recall, they were far along in the negotiation process when he backed out.

I also rate McCallum higher than Norris and believe he beats him 10 out of 10 times, many of them by T/KO.

McCallum is a good call. I still think Norris ekes by with a slightly better resume at 154. But I'm not picking McCallum 10 outta 10. Let's just say when Norris was on point, I'd hate to bet against him.

Regarding Tito, they were supposed to face each other on the Tyson-Holyfield Rematch undercard. SO the contract dispute with Don King had to do with money. Plus, Norris was promised a crack at De La Hoya and even more money, so that bout might've lured him away from Tito.

No way did he duck Tito, if that's what you're insisting?

You make some good points about the contract negotiations, particularly the dispute Norris had with King. I believe he ended up winning a $7M judgement against him. Your point about him holding out for Golden Boy money makes sense too. However, any objective non-Golden Boy lover knows Oscar would’ve never stepped in the ring with Norris in or close to his prime. Sadly, I believe Norris, Winky, and later Forrest wasted too much time waiting on Golden Boy.
Having said all that, I still have to roll with the Body Snatcher 10 out 10. I just cannot see Norris, who was stopped by a smaller Simon Brown and quite literally put to sleep by Julian Jackson, being able to contend with the fighter whom none other than James Toney rates as the best fighter he ever fought.
Don’t get me wrong, Norris was a beast. My issue with him and the reason why he loses to McCallum every single time lies in his tendency to make costly mistakes, e.g., against Jackson, Troy Waters, and Simon Brown. McCallum just did not make mistakes.

Hearns was greater than Terry just on opposition and everything else. And he had a much better chin than Terry, who could never take the punches Hearns took even the right by Duran.

Winky with ease? I can't think of many scenarios in which Winky has a reasonable chance of winning. Winky does not have the power to discourage Norris. And Terry was quicker, faster, harder punching, and far more athletic than Winky. I think a focused Terry Norris wins 9-10 rounds in a fight that is never in doubt.

I do agree that McCallum would beat Norris. But Winky was no Mike McCallum.

I agree with your assessment about Norris’s physical gifts, e.g., speed, power, athleticism. However, Winky’s jab is a great neutralizer that he used throughout his hall of fame career (2018 inductee) to thwart speed (Mosley 1 and 2) and power (Trinidad). Let’s not forget that he got the shaft against an undefeated Fernando Vargas, whom he walked down with impunity.
    2 questions for you:
    1. With an active world class jab and a freakish ability to present virtually no target, while holding a stationary hands up guard, where will Norris land effective punches?
    2. As the smaller guy, how do you envision Norris holding off Winky who was damn effective at cutting off the ring and walking a man down?

It’d be a great fight. One day in the future, when time travel becomes possible, maybe we could get these two in the same ring.

Winky was very awkward. However Norris was rarely out boxed and
Winky doesn't have the power like Julian Jackson and Simon Brown
to counter and repel Norris aggressive advances.
    Norris on pts.

I would go with Winky for this, it would be a good fight
Winky is for too all rounded and a great chin for TTN.

Winky is a bit of a weird case. He is a boxer who'd beat you not by outboxing you but by walking you down, outmuscle you while throwing loads and loads of jabs. And those jabs were hard, accurate, fast and just always there, right in your face. Winky outmuscled and outworked his opponents more than anything. Really hard to fight. I do not pick many 154 pounders to beat him. To do so you'd either need to match or take away his jab, be stronger than him or have the power to really hurt his arms to create openings later in the fight. Otherwise you would not land enough while constantly getting hit by that jab and the occasional right. Hearns and McCallum would beat him. But I cannot see Norris doing that.

I didn`t really feel Norris fought anyone of note at light middle until he was beat by Laurent B. at the end of his career. I feel Mosley would have hit Noris more than he caught Winky because of Wrights high guard and he threw more jabs than Norris which kept fighters off balance.
