    very sad news, he won a lot of fans when he come over to the UK, and I'm sure he would have had some fans against Fielding as a result, hope he gets through this

    That's horrible news. He was an absolute gent and the epitome of class both during the build up to the Smith fight and afterwards. I watched all those WBSS specials they did about him and Smith and he seems like a genuinely lovely chap. I hope he pulls through and makes a full recovery.

    His reaction to this question at the post-fight presser made me laugh

    I agree with Angelo Dundee's sentiments on sparring: no gym fights.

    I first watched him vs that South African guy named "Ryno"
    Skogulnd won me a several hundred bucks. I bet on him to win by Decision. I was a big fan of his since.

    It's terrible when you follow a boxer and this happens, so sad to see.

    This one hits me hard and so did the Colon/Blackwell you can see how determined they were.

    Skoglund is a tough sob know he's gonna make it and be normal

    Max Kellerman was ranting the other day that boxing is safer than (US) football. They are both tough sports;
    I wouldn't let a son of mine do either one.

    I wish him the best... But it was pure stupidity what he did, and yeah I even said in my post that the sparring partners/gym should be ashamed.

    Very sad unexpected news. Impressed me a lot in the Smith fight. Top fighter and seemed like a great guy. I would've followed his career with interest and I expected him to become a world champion. Main thing right now is his health, really hoping he pulls through.
