I know what you mean. But on the plus side:

We've got good potential fights between: DeGale, Groves, Callum Smith and Eubank Jr. And there's Ramirez, and potentially GG at some point.

There's a lot of good fights to be made.

Does anybody know what's happening with Andre Dirrell?

    I've only just remembered him.

Very gifted, but it seems that he's wasting his talent.

If he fought regularly, it would make the division stronger. Then there's his brother, and possibly Chavez.

It would be good if we could see another Super Six like tournament.

lol i knew someone would take the bait from my last line.

some people on here are too funny, get VERY defensive and cannot have a proper conversation without calling people dummies. Terrible.

It was his own fault that he had contractual problems, no one elses, his own.
Andre ward needed a few names on his resume thanks to the super 6 to be even relevant. his resume was not great before it.
Not taking away he was and probably would still be the best in that division.

chill anyway kid, anyone would think your his lover

If callum smith is as good as I think he is.. he'll go through the division like a hot knife going through butter. It's the easiest division to become number 1 in.

Isn't he mandatory to the winner of DeGale-Jack?

Some might regret having posted in this thread. Wonder if Herol still thinks DeGale will surpass Calzaghe, lol.

"MW is bumland, GGG has to move to SMW if he wants to carve out a legacy"

And a MW gatekeeper becomes a SMW titlist. You can't make this **** up.

Hey! Calzaghe's era was nothing to write home about either. Look at the Champions of the other organizations during his decade as WBO Champion.

The WBC had Malinga, Woodhall, Beyer, Cately, Thobela, Hilton, Lucas, Sanavia and Kessler, the WBA had Liles, Mitchell, Girard, Ottke, Mundine, Siaca and Kessler, and the IBF had Brewer, Ottke and Lacy - a whole host of second-tier titlist, one highly controversial home-town champion and Liles and Kessler, hardly the highest calibre of fighters.

Let's face it, the division has never been as strong as it was in the early 1990's.

The IBF ordered him to have a rematch against Uzcategui which should happen in late January: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2017/11/andre-dirrell-vs-jose-uzcategui-2/ He picked up the interim IBF belt via a DQ victory over Uzcategui in May.
