I don't see Degale coming back after this result! This was supposed to be a tune up against a credible opponent but Degale's fondness for going to the ropes allowed Truax to control the fight . Degale and his camp are delusional ! You have McDonnell banging about Degale's supposed fantastic condition where I think he seems unable to throw 3 consecutive punches without retreating to the ropes for a breath ? Fair play to Truax but I doubt if our other top Super middles would have much trouble beating him.

 

With his age, the fact he's had major reconstructive shoulder surgery, many hard fights, he might have one big fight left in him possibly. Let's be honest though, everything is stacked against him now.

I don't like to say a fighters done, but he's probably finished at prime world level now, I can't see how he's going to improve with his injuries and how many hard fights he's had.

Fielding would wreck him in a round or two.

 

Hearn needs to get the chequebook out and get Fielding, Cox or Ryder the fight with Traux. If not him then Tyrone Zeuge.

DeGale V Groves middle of next year after Jr. destroys Groves. Big payday and cashout for one of them, the victor will get a shot at the super series winner.

 

It’s nothing to do with frank, he’s not Degale’s promoter- this was a 1 fight booking. Haymons team deals with the contract’s and Truax is basically one of his fighters as he confirmed in his post fight interview.

 

They’ll be queuing up to fight Truax now. He’s earned himself a decent future payday and fair play to him. I would love to see Ryder get a shot.

 

I gave Degale first 2 and share of one round . Thought he was done in 5th. Was worst Degale by a long shot. Used to rate him. Was expecting him to say he broke his jaw or something .

You think he would keep off them ropes because every fight he gets beat up on the ropes its simple maby now Frank can get him to sign a deal for his comeback fights I think degale fights to the level of his opponent imo
