    Been a very long time since we have gotten to hear Tessitore sans Atlas. He is actually not a bad play by play guy when he isn't preoccupied with brown-nosing.

    Same here. Rigo's basically got the "event win" wrapped up so long as he doesn't keel over during the ring walk. Not Loma's fault, but it is what it is.

    I like Shakur as a prospect.. but I'd love him if he could punch.

    I do like that he's sitting down on his shots a bit more this fight.. forget who he was in with last time he was televised.. but he didn't sit on his shots enough.

    That lack of power is going to hurt him if he can't figure out how to punch harder.

    Stevenson is landing the southpaw jab flush on the face. Mendoza is unsuccessful taking half-steps inside and trying for a body shot or sneaky left upper-hook from behind the hip to the side of Stevenson's head. Stevenson getting elbows in the way to block everything. Nice combos by Stevenson pushing Mendoza into a corner. Mendoza hurt by a short right hook as Stevenson presses in and twists on his forefoot's heel. Mendoza swats at Stevenson with some jabs and gets picked off as Stevenson leans his long upper body back in the pocket and counters with jabs.

    I find it hard to have any sympathy for Rigo. He had chances and screwed himself. He should have done a tour of Japan after the Amagasa fight (Wake, Iwasa, Kubo, Otake, Kuga, Ishimoto) and then wider Asia (Pagara for example) instead he sulked and pissed away his momentum

    Bad stoppage by Sparkle Lee... total mismatch.. but guy wasn't hurt... but he wasn't fighting back.. but he wasn't hurt at all.

    Stevenson is punishing Mendoza with repeated southpaw 1-2s on the grill and body. Lead right jabs are splitting the gloves of Mendoza, followed by shoveling combos with both hands thumping Mendoza on the chest as he leans forward to smother his opponent to no avail. Mendoza is standing up to most of it without blinking and still taking swipes beneath the arms, either missing or grazing. Stevenson turns it up a bit and the ref steps in. Premature stoppage but it was completely one-sided.
