Sorry i'm no expert but Kell Brook lost to GGG and Khan got played with by Canelo, so my question is does anyone think Lomachenko go up two and beat Terrence Crawford? And are there any examples of fighters going up in two weight classes and actually taking the belt? EDIT: sorry forgot to mention Rigondeaux's awful performance tonight (another example i don't think it's possible)

He'd probably have trouble at 135lbs, never mind 140lbs.

Well let's see Duran went from 135 to 147 pounds and busted up Ray Leonard of all people.

Pacquiao went from 112 to put Cotto into the hospital.

Sometimes you guys forget what actual greatness looks like.

Mayweather cheat the scales against JMM and still couldn't outclass him as bad as Loma outclassed Rigo.

It's worth remembering that, in the old days, moving up one class was the equivalent of moving up multiple weight classes today.

So, if you want to really split hairs on it, guys need to move up 2 classes today just to equal that 1 class jump back then between the origiant 8 weight classes.

Ray played with him in the rematch though?

And i'm sorry but Pacquiao was a drug cheat until Mayweather called him out on it. He was never the same after that.

Regardless of size can you get in the ring with Lomachenko and barely throw punches, excessively hold, mentally give up easily... and take the belt?

There are plenty of examples of guys going up two weight classes, or 1 in the original 8 class system, and taking the belt. Armstrong held three belts which would be six modern weight classes concurrently at one time. The thing is you have very few examples of a p4p top ten fighter moving up two weight classes and beating another top ten p4p fighter. Duran is a ****ing unicorn. And there are none of a fighter eight years older pulling that trick off.

Mosley went up 2 weight classes and took Oscar's belt, but he had a couple of tuneups in between.

It was over 10 years ago. But there aren't that many examples of guys moving up 2 weight classes to take on the man in that division his first fight jumping 2 classes.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of another instance. Mosley and Duran didn't actually do what Hopkins did, when they beat DLH and SRL respectively. And Pac I don't believe ever did it.

I'm sure there are other examples, but none jumping to mind beyond Hopkins.
