We were watching two different fights,, then. All the holding of both hands was on Rigo. There was no inside fighting as a direct result. Ducking below waist level and staying there is also illegal. Rigo also hit on the break more. Loma retaliated with the forearm on the back of the head and a hammer fist, but that fight was a nightmare to watch primarily because Rigo resorted to fouling early and often.
He used apropriate retaliation against a guy who was staying too low and clinching coming in. The extra punches comming out of them where also a great way to nullify the slowing dirty tactics.
Sure. I know you're one of the usual suspects that only criticizes one side but sure I'll indulge you. Vasyl Lomachenko Would Make Floyd Mayweaver Quit...-Paranoid Android This content is protected Lomachenko is the best fighter the world has ever seen.-Fastsmith7 He's a soul destroyer, a man quitter. They cannot touch-Lepin Todd also said Loma is p4p #1 based off this. It gives him p4p #1 lol-Mr Logic. There are faaaaar more. But I'm not going to spend 10 minutes compiling a list.
I disagree, Loma landed that clear fouling shot after that clinch very early on. No warning from the ref. He also threw that shot after the bell. Rigo was spoiling Loma's inside work. If that was Ward in there, he's not being deducted points for that tactic is he?
You find it crazy to rate Loma P4P1 after beating a long time p4p fighter while being highly rated himself? Thats all you got to justify your hyperbole?
Yes. I think it's absolutely ridiculous to rate someone p4p #1 off beating a 37 year old who has been inactive and moved up 2 weight classes. When did we start crediting boxers for beating inactive old fighters moving up 2 weight classes? When I say overreaction I'm saying people are overreacting by overrating the quality of this win.
1)Yes, holding both arms of your opponent would, in fact, spoil inside work. Like a charm. Probably why they banned it. 2)That shot you're referring to, Rigo also threw an uppercut out of the same clinch. Lomas short straight just happened to land. 3)If Rigo doesn't realize that refs like Andre Ward way more than him, I can't help that.
Meanwhile in reality Loma defeated a 37 year old smaller fighter who even didn't try to put up the fight where Loma didn't connect anything serious and wasn't far away in dirty fighting from Rigo. And people are hyping this fight. Kinda sad.
Fight happened a few years too late, at at a different weight class to what it should have been at. Same with the Manny FMJ fight. Still entertaining, even though both were one sided.
37 year old fighter with a longer listed reach rated in the P4P by every major media outlet. And completely out classed despite Rigo's spoiling tactics which I predicted would be effective and prevent a blow out KO.
