Even if we accept Salido was a legit L, that's like saying Castillo solved Mayweather. Mayweather's ring smarts and tactics improved as he matured, as Loma's still improving and maturing right now. Mayweather and Loma against each other at age 29-31 would be so hard to find advantages. Will only be clearer with Loma's next 10 fights the next few years.

Floyd would have a 7 inch reach advantage, and would be faster and bigger.

He'd beat Loma to the punch all night.

    He didn't.

That was a completely different fighter.

And Salido needed twenty extra pounds and a dud ref, and even then barely made it to the final bell.

Floyd won the fight, but to settle any doubt Floyd gave Castillo an immediate rematch and beat him again. Loma wouldn't rematch Salido and instead fought Russell Jr., who was small and posed no threat. Loma only offered to rematch Salido several years later, but completely lowballed Salido even though he lost.

Loma would need to take over at least two more divisions before I could even come close to comparing him to Pac or Mayweather. Mayweather ran through 135-147 and dominated 147.

loma didnt deserve a rematch that time.

but bear in mind - one oif his first pro fights. you are clutching at straws if you think theres a flaw.

And he wouldn't have gotten any credit for it. Hell most won't give him credit for beating genaro Hernandez and he was undefeated at the weight.

Yep, Floyd was a beast at 130 beating Hernandez & Corralles.
Loma is a great fighter but the size advantage was a big factor he even said this himself and didn't rate the win very highly. That's one of the great things about Loma he doesn't talk BS

Since when has reach been a problem for lomachenko?
He slips almost every jab thrown at him and move to the sides constantly. Have you watched lomachenko fight?

Floyd Money Mayweather is proud African American boxing legend and he believes we need to Make America Great Again. The man is a national treasure.

It's unfair to compare Loma and Floyd for many reasons. Floyd was just a young pup at 130lbs....i don't believe he could decision Loma at this weight. 7-5 type loss to a 29yr old Master boxer in Vasyl. Floyd just hadn't filled into his body yet or refined his skills....

Now, if you wanna talk about a 26yr old Floyd fighting at 135lbs ....That's another story. That peak Floyd who fought Ndou was a different animal. Personally, thats unfair to Lomachenko. I don't doubt he'll be World Lightweight Champion very soon, but his physical peak was probably 126lbs.

Interesting mythical matchup. I'll add this - Floyd was not AT ALL entirely comfortable fighting southpaws until well into his Welterweight campaign. The Matrix would be a very live dog.
