We all remember the post fight interview, when Kellerman asked both Canelo and GGG if they want a rematch, and both of them sad "Of course, yes." Obviously, it's up to Canelo because he has to call Golovkin out.
Right after the fight, everyone sad that the rematch is sure for Chinco de Mayo. I thought it won't happen, just like Malignaggi. Why? Because Canelo lost that fight clearly, everyone from his camp and from Golden Boy knows that, and til May nothing would change, he would loose again and De la Hoya can't save him again just like against Lara and Golovkin.
I was watching all the videos from the last months, when Eric Gomez, Canelo or De la Hoya was asked about the rematch, and they sad all the time "next week, next month we will talk about it"
Loeffler sad if they don't make an agreement before December, they have to find another opponent from Golovkin.
Right now im 100% sure that there will be no rematch, and Canelo is going to face the winner of Saunders-Lemieux, so GGG can't even unify the titles.

Sorry, Canelo's getting his nails done today. Tomorrow it's a shampoo, then Wednesday is his Brazilian wax, then on Thursday he just likes to get out and be a girl....

Blind Freddie could see Canelo dodged a Bullet last time against Golovkin....He and Golden Boy will be in no hurry to take that Chance again.!!!

DLH is trying to find someone who is equally as corrupt/incompetent (take your pick) as Adelaide Byrd before committing to a rematch.

And he got beat by all of them.

0-3 in real life, 2-0-1 in the record books.

    Good job GBP!

Yes, but what is your point?

People identify guys who can beat him, then they do, and don’t get credit for it. He’s a good fighter but beatable.

They have bought multiple wins he didn’t deserve. They know not to play with fire too much. Trout and Lara weren’t threats to really hurt him, just outbox him.

GGG proved he can outbox him, and he’s always a threat to KO anybody.

I’m sure they will fight again, but not before GBP bides even more time and tries to delay it as long as possible, hoping GGG gets too old.

You know they are going after the Lemmy/BJS winner to hold that belt hostage and try to gain some leverage in negotiations. There’s zero reason the rematch shouldn’t be immediate after how controversial the scorecards were.

I don't want the rematch, it'll be similar to the first fight, only GGG gets robbed this time. If GGG's team take this fight, I'm not feeling sympathy for them after they get robbed, because its going to happen, and the warning signs are not only there, they are in full effect.

    What's my point? WTF?? lol

You responded to my post for the guy who was insinuating that Canelo would duck the GGG rematch. LOL

Yes, we know, Canelo haters ALWAYS say how Canelo won't fight tis powerson or that person only to prove them wrong, time and time and time again.

In their fight Canelo landed the more damaging, the harder more telling punches. GGG was successful flicking out the jab like it was his only real weapon.

All GGG proved against Canelo is that he is a chin first pressure fighter who can't even land 30% of his punches, and was was reduced to a jabber.

Rematches don't always have to be immediate FFS. I don't think they should be terribly prolonged, but there is no rule that states it has to be immediate. We're on Canelo's time here, not GGG. GGG had opportunities to prove his greatness when he was younger, but he felt staying put at 160 was better for him, so now he needs to be a good boy and wait his time.

Its hard for the Golovstans to understand this because GGG's legacy revolves around beating Canelo, while Canelo has a good 5-6 years left to carve out his legacy and will have a very good legacy with or without GGG.

Nothing to see here. Good five months until Cinco de Mayo. As IsaL has said, Canelo has a pretty good record of stepping up to the challenges and GGG would sign for it tomorrow. I don't think Canelo will avoid the rematch, he knows most people think he lost and will want to set the record straight. That said, it wouldn't amaze me if they tried to pick up the WBO belt from the Saunders-Lemieux winner first, make the GGG fight a unification match.

GGG is not winning the rematch. He had a lot taken out of him, regardless of who you think won. The punches Canelo was landing were brutal. I expect Canelo to beat GGG in clear fashion.

Canelo will always be remembered as El Pollo the guy that handed back his bogus title rather than defend it like a MAN!!!
