I think we'll see a slightly more defensive minded Bud in the higher weights, that counter-punch he laid out Indongo with will be his usual fight plan going forward, walking down guys, just won't be happening. I can see him catching Spence overextending, and I see him beating Thurman, with all of the feints, counters and getting out of harms way. I completely agree about 147lbs being his ceiling as well, although he could beat a few guys at 154lbs, I don't think he would beat Brook there, nor Spence if they moved up.

Why the emphasis on height? That clearly isnt the reason why Loma vs Crawford isnt happening right now, as explained...Crawford is a 157 pound Welter, and Loma is a 138 pound Super Feather. Both men are likely headed for super fights at their current size.

Yes, if any fighter wants to they can gain any weight they want and fight whoever they want, if thats your argument, its weak, overly simplistic, and unrealistic.

    Horrible thread.

All I see is two of the very best fighters in the sport today (Lomachenko and Crawford) getting criticized unfairly.

Saying 130lb Manny to move up to 140lbs, would be weak, over simplistic and unrealistic to you right? Seems you don't want Loma to test his skills at a higher weight, shame, if Manny stuck to 130lbs, we'd never have got to see him at 140lbs and above in some classic match-ups.

Do u even think before you post? Let me get this straight.. You're pushing for Crawford to fight Loma two divisions above SFW whilst at the same time dumping on Loma for fighting a guy he's two divisions above (Rigo)! Are you really that dense?! Shouldn't you be equally critical of Crawford then in this case?? Everything you have just said about Loma would translate to Crawford if this fight happened. Double bind' much Columbo?! Dumbass.. Exactly WHO has Crawford beat?

Someone stick a fork in this welp he's done!

    Cool strawman, bro.

Lomachenko vs Garcia at 135 is likely next. It will be Loma's third division title fight against an opponent that could be 10 to 12 pounds heavier. And I fully support this fight, as I've stated.

You seem to be under the impression i'm demanding Loma vs Bud right now for some odd reason. I've got no problem waiting for a few years for this fight, if Loma reaches 140lbs. Loma vs Garcia is a great match-up, a potential fight with Bud would be BETTER, imo.

If Loma reaches 140lbs, and holds a title in a few years, Bud is still there at 147lbs, I'm sure a fight could be made at 140lbs, as Bud could easily make that weight. I'm not after it right now.

8 pounds vs 19 pounds isnt a fair analogy.

Loma vs Garcia is though, and it will hopefully be happening next or soon.

If Loma can get within 10 pounds of Crawford without losing much ability, I like his chances.

Well...that goes back to what I said, If Loma can be efficient within 10 real ring pounds, make the fight.

    No.

Lomachenko doesn't get past Garcia. Arum knows this which is why that fight will never get made..
