That's exactly what Gvozdyk said himself, he's taking WBC route, he wants to fight an eliminator or for an interim belt on Feb 16th

Good. Reasonable step-up fight for Gvozdyk. He will be ready to fight a top 5 LHW after he beats E. Alvarez.

Easy win for Gvozdyk, Alvarez is glass jawed, he was hurt fairly badly by Prieto and Pascal, not sure why everyone thought Stevenson was ducking him. He's a relatively easy win for the Pimp IMO. Probably because no one cares about watching his boring ass and they don't think anyone will actually show up at the arena to see the match.

I was curious to know what path Gvozdyk would take seeing he was ranked so high by a few organisations.

I think this is a good option. I wouldn't be confident of him beating the 3 champs.
I'll pick him over Alvarez and I think he can beat Pimp Daddy if his chin holds out.

Alvarez would be spewing if he loses and never gets a shot at Stevo. But to be honest I thought he lost to Chilemba.

"He says the most logical path"

Unfortunately, the modern boxing is anything but logical! :D

Well, it's actually logical from the promoters' financial point of view. :)

Gvozdyk should win fairly clearly, compare their performances vs Chilemba for example

Unfortunately, even if ordered to fight indeed, I still think Alvarez will just duck Gvozdyk. So that fight won't happen.
But at least they'll make Gvozdyk the mandatory challenger.

Even worse for Gvozdyk is the fact that they sanction Chickenson-Badou Jack (complete bullsh** in terms of WBC rating list, it's obvious who forced it)...
It means Chickenson will have like another couple of years to avoid the new mandatory...

It's not Stevenson ducking Alvarez, it's Stevenson using Alvarez to duck everyone else

Gvozdyk will beat Alvarez and Kovalev will knock Barrera out! Adonis Chickenson will never fight Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, or Beterbiev!

Well he doesn't have a lot of years left in the sport, so soon he will try to cash out and his chin will be blasted!
