I don’t think they’ll ever see each other. Spence will spend all of 2018 and much of 2019 waiting for Run Time. Crawford will fight Horn and others with the intent of fighting Spence or Thurman. Unfortunately, Spence will move up to 154.
He better not run, Brook dropped down two weights to defend his title against him, there will be a massive demand for this fight as well.
I don’t think Spence will run from Crawford. I just think he will stay busy with low risk low reward fights until Run Time takes the fight in late 2019, if at all. After that, I don’t think he’ll be able to effectively stay at the weight. He’s a WW version of Jarrett Hurd.
Guys... *sigh*... NO fighter should ever recklessly move up two weight classes to immediately fight the best fighter of that division. Doing so is not ballsy or legacy-cementing; it is reckless, dangerous, and beyond stupid. Kell Brook shortened his career doing it against GGG. Khan shortened his already fading career doing it against Canelo. JMM looked out of shape and was schooled by Mayweather when he did it. Rigo was toyed with by Loma when he did it, and quit on his stool before an inevitable TKO. It literally never ends well. It's not a good idea. No boxer should ever do it. I can't even think of a time in the history of this sport where someone moved up two divisions in a span of 4-6 months to immediately fight the very best, and actually won. Everyone should use the Ward method before he fought Kovalev: gradually build the weight, test the waters in the new division, adapt, and fight the best when you can 100% consider yourself a part of that division. Pacquiao moved up 8 divisions, but he didn't go from Featherweight to Welterweight in like 4 months to fight a prime Oscar De La Hoya. Come on...
Do you mean Salido having to cheat to beat a guy who had 1 pro fight in order to just scrape by a win? The fact Lomachenko adjusted mid fight to have Salido hanging on for dear life and Salido ran from the rematch, also wasn't Glassboa put down by Salido? Also going by your logic Ivan Valle knocked Salido out in 4....does this mean he's better than Glassboa? Facts are Lomachenko is heading for the HOF, Gamboa isn't.
I mean, were that to happen I'm sure you'd give 0 credit to Crawford for that right? And you'd slam him for dragging a fighter up in so much weight, right? Be that as it may, there were still people on here predicting Rigondeaux would win lol
Easy on there tiger. Crawford is a star no doubt but get his balls off ya chin for just a minute clean the glaze of your face and let the dude have a weekend off. It was Arum that made the comparison not Loma or his fans.
A couple of guys have mentioned Crawford going to 147 where he will be looking for a title and the easiest route is through Horn. Breaking news is that Horn is struggling big time to make 147 for Cochran and will go to 154. Horn will beat Cochran no matter what. If he makes weight he will vacate and if he doesn't he will win and move on. Either way it looks like the wbo ww title will become vacant. So this will foil Crawford's plan of an easy title win over Horn which would have happened. His option then would be to fight either Garcia or Porter for the vacant title both of whom would be tougher fights than Horn. He may choose to forego the title fight 1st up and fight a lower ranked contender to get the feel of 147. Either way I get the feeling that as talented as Crawford is he is heading for disaster a la Donald Curry who looked like he could be anything but had the sharpest decline I have ever seen. I don't think his chin will hold up to a solid punch from a genuine ww. If Loma ever fights ww which I highly doubt Crawford could be on the scrap heap so talk of this of this fight ever happening is only coming from this Loma hating butt hurt thread starter who is desperate to find someone to beat the best guy around right now.
@Jackomano The fact you claim Lomachenko will not be heading into the HOF when he's already there in hindsight shows both your agenda and lack of knowledge. Salido avoided the rematch like the plague as he'd of been beaten Rocky Martinez style. How did Gamboa do again against Sosa?
Nothing funny about it troll, it just sums up your shitty thread. Although at least Sosa didn't need to come in overweight and repeatedly foul.....and I could be mistaken but didn't he drop Gamboa?
He just fought you freakin mental midget... You expect him to have a fight signed already? Sorry child...you're going to have to accept that light skinned guy is a ATG in the making.
