Think of it as p4p emeritus, where both men could return at any time and because of their brilliance, they immediately get elevated to that position. Adding the fact that both fighters are so far and above Crawford and loma on skills alone

I see what you're saying. He didn't pull of a DLH or Pacquiao type run where the dude was lining up HOF and ATG guys fight after fight after fight.

But he has run off a string of good wins recently in an era of inactivity, excessive ducking and politics.

If we start dinging guys too much for losses, hell a single loss from 4 years ago in their 2nd fight no less, than we're going to see a lot more cherry picks. And it would probably do a disservice to the sport.

I'm one of those guys who acknowledges the Salido loss, but I don't put too much stock into it. I can't jump on the "0" train. I'm done with that. The Mayweather era is over.

 

Well p4p to me isn't a lifetime achievement award. If we could somehow negate size than Crawford and Loma would wipe the floor with a 35 year old GGG and a 41 year old Mayweather. Especially Floyd in his current state.

 

Ok good point, but I would still argue Loma has beaten the better fighters. Gary Russel Jr. in particular is a cut above anybody on Crawford's resume.

But yea the fact that he's undefeated may hold considerable value to some even in the post Floyd era. And Crawford does have many more fights.

 

Loma = Kurosawa

Bud = Scorsese

 

I don't think there is a lot in it, I think this will be one of those that changes opinions each time one fights, wins and looks impressive.

At this moment I'd go with Loma but if Crawford looks as impressive in his next fight then he has a very strong case.

I'd throw Mikey Garcia in the mix too, I don't think he is that far away.
