I don't think with Salido talking about retiring it's a viable fight. Even if he were to agree....He would only be doing it for money and not because he felt he could beat Loma like he did in the first fight. Loma wouldn't be given much credit for avenging the loss at this point especially since Salido is coming off a loss. I'd still watch it

    LooooL!! There’s another one.

“Salido retired! He’s gone! Too late doe! We can always pull the Salido card on Loma! Hur hur hur!”

40 low blows and coming in 20lbs overweight with **** ref and judges is now “Da blueprint” on how to beat Loma. PATHETIC

This. Salido is also 37 Years old now. If Loma really wanted the rematch it would''ve hapoened already. Salido since beating Loma has been through two wars with Roman Martinez, a war with Vargas, and was stopped by Miguel Roman.

Loma should try beating the top guys in his division. There are three other champions in his division that he can have a unification with or just move up to 140 and fight Mikey Garcia.

Well I mean, I don't remember Chenko or Arum persuing a rematch until years later, and even then it was a little half-assed.

Mayweather and Leonard and Hagler and Ward DEMANDED rematches on close fights they WON. So did Clubber Lang, I'm just saying.

Something funny remember when the Salido rematch was in the works everyone was saying it was a waste of time and he should fight Rigo, but now after he dominates Rigo people keep bringing up Salido.

A rematch against the guy who beats you is a waste of time? I mean, it is now, he's been beaten 6 more times.

If you were all that comfortable in Loma's eminence, you wouldn't even care about a Salido rematch or the haterzzz who use the L as a stick to beat Loma with, because you'd be safe and presciently smug in the knowledge that the incredible catalogue of wins Loma was due to stack up over world class fighters with a wide array of styles would reduce the Salido loss to trivia within the next few years, a gut check and a valuable learning experience on his way to fistic consecration, with no consequence on any final assessments of his overall quality.

If you were a fan of the sport, you might graciously accept Salido's retirement and send him on his way with some appreciation for a fine career. Instead, you're wetting your frillies over the probability that this pretty much shot old man is going to bow out without one of your demographic favs having the chance to beat him up before he goes out the door (as if that'd prove anything). Womanly.

This is the first time I've addressed a poster here with anything resembling an arbitrary personal attack. Actually, I'd only call it a mild criticism, but I realize you're also bitterly sensitive to those and will likely respond with red-faced recrimination. In either case, you've merited it.

Fighting Rigo was a much bigger fight, its been talked about since Loma turned pro. I don't think he needs to slay Salido now, I think he should take on Roman instead to put that issue to bed(That's if his team want that issue putting to bed). I think he'd beat Roman, it'll be his toughest FIGHT since Salido though, that's the type of guy Loma needs to prove himself against, he can clearly outbox the boxers, can he outbox the fighters? Roman for me is a good start.

Did a mouse pass flatus? Or is that red-faced recrimination I smell?

He'd probably get a little more credit for beating another Miguel, ie. Berchelt. Unless you're thinking of the Loma > Roman > Salido triangulation as a means of invalidating the Salido L in the eyes of the casual public.

Salido priced himself out of the rematch. Lomachenko wanted it, he didn't want it... Only people who think otherwise are Lomachenko detractors. Based on what happened the other night it's easy to see why Salido was acting so diva-like.
