Seen alot of people say that Fury will come back and do to Joshua, what he did to Wlad. I think its pretty obvious that Fury's style, out of everyones in the division, is the most problematic for AJ. I personally think that if the fight were to happen, Joshua would struggle at first but eventually would catch up to him and stop him. If Joshua does beat Fury, will the excuses be all about Fury having 2 years out and not looking after himself? Would this be a legitimate excuse or would it just be a sour reaction to discredit an AJ win?
All depends. If Fury went straight into a fight with Joshua then 100% people will use it as an excuse..if he has a couple of fights to shake the rust off and he looks impressive than there can be no excuse if he looses. However in my opinion Fury beats Joshua by a wide UD. Cant wait for Tyson Fury to be back in the ring.
I think its clear it wont be his first fight back but i could see the excuse being used when they do fight. People would say the 2 years made him lose momentum etc. Plus there is always an excuse from fans of a losing fighter in a huge fight.
It will be exactly like Floyd/Pac excuses, he was well past his best when he beat him. I think Joshua stops him inside 5 Rounds but i completely understand that Tyson could outbox Joshua to a points decision if he can weather multiple storms during the fight and hes close to what he was back in 14/15. I just dont see Fury being able to withstand Joshuas power.
How could it not be a legit excuse, he beat Wlad in 2015 then proceeded to go into a drug fueled oblivion and ballooned up to what has to be nearly 400 pounds. He's been out of the ring, on drugs, mentally unstable, and giving his best impersonation of King Kong Bundy. I don't know if the Fury that beat Wlad even exists anymore. If I were a Fury handler, I wouldn't let him anywhere near one of the top 4 guys.............at the very least until he's had 3 or 4 fights under his belt and showed he can come in under 270. And this is coming from someone who thinks Wlad level Fury boxes Joshua's ears off.
The long layoff, the after-effects of inactivity, and the repercussion of drug use will be only three of the excuses. His millennial generation fans will invent a multitude more. They're the masters of excuse-making.
I think Wlad has more power than Joshua and Fury withstood that. Like you said though, there are a few outcomes that could clearly happen to the surprise of no one.
If Fury takes 2 fights beforehand and comes in about 250 there should be no excuses BC Fury is not even 30 yet and its not like he's this out of control drug addict everyone is labeling him. That being said , expect all the excuses when Joshua wins and probably wins just about every round if he doesn't knock him out.
Depends upon a number of things. Can Fury get back to 250lbs again or will we see an overweight Fury he was about 380lbs or so according to him that's a lot of weight to lose. How will Fury look during his comeback fights and will he beat anyone decent in the lead up to the Joshua fight. Also how does the Joshua/Fury fight play out, if Joshua crushes him in a one sided beat down or somehow actually out boxes Fury when most expect Fury to out box Joshua then many will just say Joshua was always too good for him. But some will always use it as an excuse no matter what happens.
Wlad was confused, he didn't get a chance too let his hands go due to Furys gameplay, I think Joshua will land clean numerous times in this fight it's whether Fury can take the shot The gameplay was perfect for Klitschko because he's a cautious fighter, Joshua has shown he is willing too take a shot to land a shot if need be so it's certainly interesting
AJ won't do a Wlad.He will go after Fury. The problem comes if AJ don't catch up with Fury by the half way mark,he might start to gas and Fury can (could) do 12 rounds if in proper shape. It will go AJ KO by the half way mark or Fury by UD imho.
Absolutely it will be a reason! An over two year layoff puts Fury at a MAJOR disadvantage against Joshua. Ring Rust is a real thing! So Joshua doesn’t really deserve credit if he beats him. But if Fury wins now... that’s remarkable and will go down as one of the best comebacks in history doe!
