Mikey's OBVIOUSLY avoiding Lomachenko... Or he wants to settle in at 140 and drag Lomachenko up there.

Well, you have to favor Garcia based off of his pedigree and what he's already accomplished/resume, but Lipinets is truly a litmus test sort of fighter. He brings a ton of pressure, and Garcia isn't at 126 anymore. If Garcia isn't putting 100% in, or thinks this is going to be some sort of easy, walk-over fight on the way to some mega payday... He's wrong.

Omar Figueroa will likely be on the card.

Good to see him back in action so soon, after that time off. I guess he really did need it. He looked quite dangerous against Guerrero, but maybe it was more of a case of Robert simply being that far removed from his best than Omar's performance. I suppose we'll see.

Figueroa could actually face Adrien Broner.

Could be a good one. I like Lipinets but he's a bit green & rough & ready still..

Tbf, the only excuse for not fighting Linares is if he's left the division.

So I can live with this choice. Especially if it leads to a super fight with Crawford

Campbell vs Mendy for the LW belt.
    Linares and Flanagan face off.

I'd actually love to see that. Has all the makings of a great fight, especially their respective career positions.

Maybe the winners of Garcia-Lipinets and Figueroa-Broner could face off.

If looks like his picking all the winnable fights instead of fighting the top fighters

I am a big Mikey fan. I was hoping for either a Linares or Loma fight.

Ah well, this seems to be a fan friendly matchup with Lipinets though.

Some say Lipinets received a gift against Kono? Didn't see the fight myself... Anyone watch this fight live?

I missed the first few rounds but from what I saw of it the result seemed fair to me. But Kondo was as tough as old boots and he kept marching forward completely impervious to everything Lipinets threw at him, to head and body. He landed some big shots of his own too, some of which Lipinets definitely felt.

I don't think Lipinets is ready for Garcia yet, he's a good fighter but he's too green for someone of that calibre. But it should be good to watch and Lipinets will definitely be in there trying to take Garcia's head off.
