So Chenko needs a couple of fights next year.

Arum and De La Arum have most of the lighter-weight Asians and Hispanic fighters under contract. Their guys aren't going to fight each other any time soon. Main Events has nobody small, and they seem about dead anyway. Dibella has a few good small fighters, but they are a small East-coast outfit and don't promote their guys much. Uncle Bob could, I guess bring Chenko to Japan or the UK, but I don't think it will happen, that means that it's going to be other top Rank fighters. Here is the roster:

Featherweight (Bobby likes to move guys up when it's convenient)

    Oscar Valdez
    Jessie Magdaleno

    Jr. Lightweight

    Casey Ramos
    Eric De Leon
    Paul Flemming
    Christopher Diaz

    Lightweight

    Andy Vences
    Felix Verdejo
    Juan Diaz
    Ray Beltran

Personally, I sure hope it is not a Featherweight. Ramos and De Leon look like fringe contenders, Vences is a real tough guy but not much skill, might be fun for a few rounds. Juan Diaz has a name and has been inactive for a while...so he might be PERFECT.

My gut feeling tells me it might be Flemming, the wild card (unknown Australian) with Bobby trying to create another Jeff Horn. or Verdejo. They fought as amateurs, Chenkko said he was the best amateur he ever fought, and he is a Puerto Rican who has been a prospect for a while now. That works becuase they like to fight Russians on the East Coast. It doesn't seem to work in Vegas. Beltran would be OK. But of all those fights, I think Diaz might jump out this year. He's a real banger. Looked devastating in his last fight.

I say old Chap, don't get your knickers all in a bunch, I must have been in error. I was just on my library having a spot of tea, when I composed this. I do declare I made a slight faux-pas in the gentleman's country of origin. Pip-pip carry on old boy and all that sort of thing.

Verdejo was being set up as a potential opponent for Loma, but injuries have halted his momentum. Valdez probably doesn't lose a whole lot of momentum by moving up and facing Loma, so I think we might see them in the ring by the end of the year.

Loma is getting hated more than Gennady now

I really hope he faces Gervonta Davis, then Tevin Farmer then Robert Easter. :D

If anyone ever deserved hype and excitement around his name in the years i've been watching boxing it's Lomachenko. The greatest amateur ever, quickest pro world champ ever, fastest p4p number 1 ever, etc. With his ability It's pretty normal to feel excited over a guy like Lomachenko's future. If you were ever betting on a guy being a ATG he must be the easiest bet ever.

The guys is 30 years old. He hasn't much time to carve out an ATG legacy. Its possible, but time is definitely not on his side.
