Rigo actually was active by the time he faced Loma....he had 2 fights within 6 months. While you’re right about Rigo being shorter than Loma....Rigo also has a 2 inch reach advantage over Loma. Floyd was taller than JMM and had a reach advantage.

 

FlIVd is full of it. He compliments Loma but still throws the back hand insult implying that hes too big for loma. Sure, now that youve fought as high as 154 youre bigger but when he weighed 130 he wasnt much bigger than Loma. Loma is 5`7 with a 65" reach while FlIVd is 5`8 with a 72" reach. Loma is not as small as FlIVd tries to make him out to be. A fight between the two at 130lbs wouldve been incredible and FlIVd likely loses. I was a HUUUUUGGGGEEEEEE fan of FlIVd up until 2010/11 when he made it clear he was ducking manny. The fighter i saw at 130 was great and one of the best ive ever seen but Loma is a whole other animal.

You’re right. I thought his fight with Dickens and Flores were only 6 months apart. His fight with Flores was 6 months before Loma.

Floyd is definitely taller than JMM by at the very least an inch and a half and had a big reach advantage. Loma had a good 2 and a half inch advantage over Rigo. But that didn’t play a role in the outcome. Rigo fought and beat taller guys than Loma. The interesting thing was Rigo having a sizable reach advantage over the taller Loma
