Or he wanted to make some money off Lemieux's fan base by cashing him out in a world title match where he's hopelessly outmatched.

Promoters greedily cannibalize their own guys all the time, a time-honored tradition in boxing.

Funny how boxing works (and learning to see the illusions it creates is key) but anyways, had Cotto signed to fight Lemieux, and Lemieux KO'd Cotto (not out of the question), his stock and image would have skyrocketed. But instead he will get schooled by BJS and his image and stock will take a dump. Same fighter, two completely different perceptions.

    Saunders 4-0, clear, too easy.

    Lemieux so basic.

Lemieux targetting the body more, which is where he needs to go. BJS landing a lot more still and dominant throughout most of the round.

Its already looking like the fight we all thought it would be.

    Round 1 Saunders 10-9
    Round 2 Saunders 10-9
    Round 3 Saunders 10-9
    Round 4 Saunders 10-9

David started out well, landed a nice shot to the body, but BJS took over in the second half with several one twos up top and to the body.

Would have made more sense to save Lemieux for Canelo. There were also other name building fights to make Lem while waiting for Canelo as well.

    40-36 BJS

Saunders making this look easy, Lemieux needs to change it, it's just not working.
