people who have beaten elites belong in the upper elite category, easy answer. But you knew that already, why ask? And they should be a rare breed indeed, given that being elite is already just a small handful of the best. Hes an elite for sure, but raising him to "higher elite" whens hes not beaten ONE in his 35 years on earth is a bit rich mate.

You still missing the point, what you don't consider Elite (due to understandably low quality) is elite for GGG era (contenders). For this era GGG was until now an Upper Elite boxer, he was not a temporary title holder who lost his title, he didn't avoid fights (in his division) If GGG was not the top 0.1% Upper Elite in 160, who was the top of 160 over the last 5 years? No matter how low the quality is, the top 0.1% is the upper elite of that era

Anyone can kill bums and middlers for 33 years of their life but its what you do with the one elite fight you have that make you "higher elite" or just "plain" elite. u need a new argument. When someone asks you who was the upper elite of 160 (2012-2017), you only have one name to choose from (GGG) You are looking at things from an ATG perspective (upper Elite in ATG widens up to 300 & the arguments you bring are relevant then) For the current time, the status quo GGG is still upper Elite P4P & 160. We are in this era, until he is old enough to be picked off or retires
of course they should be rare. elite itself is a small group from the entire world. So do you think "higher elite" will be a smaller group than this already small group, or a larger group? Even smaller of course, less than a handful even, one or two. If they can top the other elites, then they SHOULD be rare individuals, knocking on the door of HoF and ATG. But they have to proof they are higher than elites to BE HIGHER elites, or how on earth cna you justify calling them higher elites? And that means beating elites.
GGG proved he is better than everybody at 160, he the upper elite of 160 He didn't prove many other things, Upper Elite is a subjective term that applies to any category. Apply this to any category in boxing & you will get the result. 99% = Peasantry/Citizenry/Common 1% = Elite 0.1% = Upper Elite GGG is upper Elite in both 160 & P4P of the current era, that is why he is listed as such In ATG level, its a much more complex subjective issue
again, he hasnt. he has proved he is level with one of the best (ie elite) at 160, not better than. You already know this - why are you saying different? I dont get why you write whats NOT in your own head. But I agree in the sense that he has beaten several world class fighters at 160.
