So does everyone still think that Eubank would beat BJS in a rematch?

That's the thing though scyson.....it might not be a great fight. Remember the first fight? It was going to be a "great fight" too....

No chance. Absolutely brilliant performance from Saunders.

Won't happen and its difficult to imagine. BJS is a smallish middle (could be at 154 for me) and Eubank is a huge middle now at 168. He has zero chance of ever seeing 154 again and BJS will have to be completely washed up to go to super. As boring as it sounds its impossible to comment because weight is so important. As much as BJS was clearly the better boxer in the first fight he struggled with Eubank's size in the latter rounds. In my opinion there is clearly a full weight division between them.

Respectfully disagree. Think BJS is a natural middleweight, I don't consider him small. He may be capable of making 154 but I believe it would be a struggle.

Although Eubank has the height and frame for super middle, I think it remains to be seen whether that's his optimal fighting weight. He has said that he walks around at 12 stone, so now doesn't cut weight. That's unusual. There are guys in the division - George Groves for example - who walk around nearer 14 stone. Eubank appears to have carried power up to 168 but his punch resistance, we don't know yet.

I also feel it was not so much Eubank's size, as his work rate, which won him the late rounds against BJS.

It's will be the same fight because Eubank will always have trouble with Moving boxers thats the reason he hasn't fought any

Question: how should a boxer deal with a fighter like bjs who is constantly moving and, for want of a better word, 'running' when being pressured by his opponent?

Learn to cut the ring off better. Lemeiux is excellent at what he does but movement is something he just cannot deal with. N'Dam was having a lot of success with that. You have to set traps and know where they're going to. Seeing as we are speaking of MW fighters, obviously the go to guy for cutting off the ring is GGG. In any of his fight you'll see he is able to pin down guys. Jacobs did a great job of keeping him away at times (helped also by Jacobs' power, something BJS sadly isn't blessed with) but GGG was still constantly there or thereabouts. It isn't easy to teach and is something that's largely schooled into a fighter early on IMO.

Chavez Jr is someone I'd point to historically who was also very good at this. Lemeixu brings pressure but it isn't educated pressure and that was ultimately his downfall. Superb performance by BJS

GGG has never fought an elite pure boxer so how do we actually know he can cut a ring off so well?

Jacobs modified his game against GGG, but he doesn't prefer to move, he is used to trading blows. GGG looked pretty poor cutting off the ring against both Jacobs and Canelo, and when he had them cornered he was too afraid of getting countered.

GGG is ageing and will get his ass beat against either Jr or Saunders. Saunders will school him but Jr would beat him in to retirement.

GGG only knows how to go forward and is a sucker for an uppercut, sounds like he's made to order for Young Christopher if u ask me.

Jr has never beat anyone decent into retirement, so how do we actually know he can?

More to the point, has Saunders ever moved around an elite pressure fighter? If you're saying my points are baseless then so are yours. Doesn't mean either of us is wrong, mind you.

We know that Golovkin cuts the ring off well - better than anybody imo - because he has consistently proved it in fights. I challenge you to name somebody else who does it better. Kell Brook can box and he did it to him. Canelo may be flat footed but he's not a plodder, he can definitely box. Has good head movement and is faster than Golovkin. Golovkin pinned him time after time. After 300+ amateur wins, an Olympic silver medal and 4 world titles, do you honestly believe that Golovkin hasn't faced top opponents of all different styles, and successfully pressured them?

Slippery movement may well be the best strategy to try and beat Golovkin, that does not mean he hasn't proved he can cut off the ring.

The guy is overrated to hell and Canelo could move away from him whenever he wanted, at times Canelo actually stood firm on the ropes and baited GGG in and GGG just looked at him scared.

GGG is a myth, who did he beat in the amateurs that is such a great mover??? We all know the 345-5 is bogus, he has at least 8 documented loses and no evidence to prove 345 wins.

Going 1-1 with Dirrell isn't impressive??? Dirrell has been exposed as a pro already numerous times.

Kell Brook didn't even try to run, he stood his ground and tried to go toe to toe, GGG had that mystique like Mike Tyson and blokes just froze fighting him, the mystique is gone with 2 disputed fights in a row that went 12 rounds.

GGG is looking old and washed up and CEJ and BJS have styles that match up so well with his ageing old body.

Lemiuex is GGG's 2nd best win and he was totally outclassed?

How is GGG going to handle the movement? GGG is way too slow, his power is great but if you can't land nothing it has zero effect. GGG's chin and power are truly elite, but his defense is overrated and he is now on the slide.

3-5 years ago he would be a favourite but not now, no way

GGG had to respect Canelos power! He had to worry about what was coming back. Golovkin couldnt just unload with impunity. Canelo hits hard. Billy Joe doesnt. So GGG will be able to 'unload' with impunity against BJS. You must factor this into your thinking if they fight.
