Joshua has higher power punch count, he throws double the amount than what's average. He's far more accurate he threw the same number of punches against Takam in ten rounds that Bowe actually landed on Holyfield in the 8 rounds he fought, Joshua makes his shots count more. Facing a Holyfield one is going to throw more punches BC of the style he brings , the thing with Bowe is he used less mobility and was not to hard to hit. Total opposite of Joshua who is the second least hit fighter at HW and that's only BC Wilder has fought far less quality and he doesn't engage. One can't on pure punch counts ...Foreman threw about 445 punches against Holyfield I dare anyone to say Foreman remotely resembles the overly active fighter per rounds? Lewis did not engage Holyfield and didn't land many flush shots on him he played it safe. It would be an entirely different fight with Joshua.
Takam is the closest thing to Holyfield with a similar lateral movement and on a 6'2 frame that's what you DO when trying to establish matches.....get a grip. He even threw in a head butt for all.........
Honestly when I saw AJ took forever to deal with Takham, how would he fare with a shot but still formidable Holyfield? AJ vs. Takham was 95-5. AJ vs. Holyfield would be closer to 50-50 for me.
Joshua doesn't have a higher power punch output than most, to say he does is just a lie to suit your opinion. The link below is compubox's stats on the current top heavyweights and was done last month. Joshua lands 9.2 power punches per round when the average is 12 per round, Miller and Whyte throw more and Wilder is just below him on 9 per round. Even his power punch connect rate is lower than most on the list. His total punch output as well is below the average of 55.5 per round as Joshua averages at 43.6 punches per round. http://photo.*******.com/uploads/compubox-1.jpg Joshua throwing the same number of punches vs Takam as Bowe landed on Holyfield doesn't prove a thing, of course someone will throw more than someone else lands, people miss punches. I agree that Bowe's defence is worse than Joshua's. But Joshua isn't a great mover, he's not better than Bowe in this regard, maybe marginally better if anything. Holyfield wouldn't have any trouble getting into range against Joshua. Joshua doesn't have the jab or movement to keep him off him even if he wanted to. No Foreman isn't remotely active but he didn't beat Holyfield did he, he had his moments just like Joshua would but that won't win him the fight. Using Foreman as an example doesn't help your point of view. Foreman has a slightly worse punch output than Joshua but not by much and Foreman for all his size and power couldn't put enough punches together at a consistent rate to beat Evander which is the same reason why I think Joshua loses to Holyfield. Maybe if Joshua learns to box and clinch like Lewis did he can stifle Holyfield's inside work to win a decision but he doesn't fight like that. He would engage Evander and that's why he loses.
Yeah it's pretty comical. Holyfield fought nothing like Takam. Takam wishes he had that hand speed, the combination punching, the ability to fight inside like Evander, his sheer physicality. Holy's footwork as well was far better when he used it. Takam is more a cagey counter puncher with a bit of movement who fought in spurts.
yeh god knows what galvatron means - might be basing it on whether they have shiny bald heads or not.
a 240lb baldheaded guy beats a 220lb baldheaded guy in every department! too fast, way too fit, too much power.
Holyfield (despite some of the physical issues) still had a lot in the tank in 96. He didn't really start showing his age until the Lennox and Ruiz fights. The version that ate Mike threw hard quick combinations, and still roughed you up on the inside. Even Bowe's stoppage was more Holy fatigue than anything else and was never again duplicated until Toney (again fatigued and over the hill). Holyfield was absolutely one of the last fighters you'd ever wanna have a shoot out with, and a slow, methodical Joshua would be eaten up.
Worst post from a non-troll ive ever seen on here. Takam does not compare to Holyfield bar height. You might as well say anyone, theres no link!
In my opinion holyfield, tyson, lewis, vitali, wlad, holmes , bowe, maybe even golota in their primes stops Joshua.
