I thought that was ruled a misdiagnosis. I heard either the flu or bad seafood.

Holmes and AJ would be interesting given the size difference, Holmes style and him not being a power puncher.

I thought he had corrective surgery for it ?? He was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition if I remember right. You saying he was misdiagnosed would make sense as he resumed his career, but I don't remember it that way !

Joshua right now would be too green for Holmes, since size alone isn't enough to beat Holmes, but depending on how Joshua develops in his next 10 fights will determine a lot.

Yes BC we know Takams back foot counter punching and signature left hook along with body to top combos are way off base here right? Lol

I've used fighters that resemble BOTH guys and I could have used fighters that stunned Holyfield with uppercuts beyond Tyson like Bowe and Cooper....you guys just keep on ignoring that its Joshua's best punch and the easiest punch to land on Holyfield.

No one compares to Holyfield therefor he wins by default???? Boxing logic at its finest.

You even have posters using Klitchko who resembles NOTHING like
Holyfield as proof BC he knocked Joshua down? I'm the troll now though.....lol

Takam just cannot be compared with Holy. 1996 Holy was strong enough and tough enough to meet fire with fire up close with Joshua, all day long. He beats Joshua at his own game imo.

When you do match ups you COMPARE other fighters and weaknesses not just strengths...this is boxing 101.

Let me shed some true perspective on this fight... First off Holyfield struggled with heavier guys when going comfortably over the 220 mark. The time period you guys are suggesting he wins is no different.

Holyfield doesn't have one win with any guy remotely 250, he even struggled with Bobby Czyz and the fight was stopped BC Czyz got foreign substance in his eyes. Czyz was 210 pounds the only guy over 225 he fought from 1996 to 1998 was Vuagn Bean and yet you have head cases on here that are using Takam ? Ha Ha

I'm the insane one on here doe?????? For picking a super athletic 250 pounder go figure? :copas:

Yeah hes a super athletic 250lb'er just not THAT good. Holy fought better guys the same size as him anyway and was very competitive. Cycz he wanted to blast away and forced stuff. Plus every fighter has fights like that in their career where they under perform even though there is a gulf in talent !

Bowes fight weight was about 235 in shape. You also realize Bowe defeated Holyfield twice right? Douglas was also out of shape these fights have nothing to do with a Joshua match up.

Holyfield defeated Savarese , I forgot about that fight. Joshua doesn't stand a chance in hell. :juggle:

No matter how you guys try and finagle angles on this the fact remains Holyfield has struggled with the bigger HW's even old Holmes made him look bad.

So every fighter has fights like that? But when it comes to Joshua he's overatted and not that good based on nothing right? Lol

You guys have really lost it but it is a boxing forum after all. You even stated Bowe hits harder than Joshua so no need to continue this convo......:pancarta:

AJ has a fine uppercut, but Holy took uppercuts from some of the best in the business and took them well. Gambling on Holy being stopped by a single shot when it never happened isn't a smart gamble. Holyfield, with his quicker hands and iron jaw could very well take AJ. Not to mention, Holy, while not a devastating heavyweight KO puncher, could crack and stopped a superior chinned opponent (in comparison to AJ) in Mike Tyson.

What does it for me is AJ's stamina. Once he tires against Holyfield, I see Holyfield pummeling him against the ropes en route to a referee TKO stoppage. I also think a prime Bowe would beat AJ, but not with as high a chance as Holyfield and that's only because Holyfield had a better chin than Bowe.

Could AJ keep up this pace for 12 rounds without tiring like a prime Bowe did?
