Jacobs did what all limited boxers do when fighting someone naturally better than them. They run around the ring spoiling a fight trying to make it close, on top over coming into the ring a cruiserweight.
Terrible performance from Jacobs very negative but he knew golovkin was too good for him so he did the best he could

    Golovkin is 50/50
    Canelo ,bus beats him
Jacobs gets spanked, his too stiff and limited for gypsy slick
And bjs the out of shape version would whoop gerbil charlo at 2 days notice. Gerbil doesn't want to face anyone good. He knows he doesn't have the natural talent

Charlo shouldn't be mentioned ever. The mad Tazman russisn who was sent away would have gave Saunders a hardernfight.

The slick European style is very hard to beat and often many European fighters who use the slick European style dont get the opportunities because of how good they are. American fans dont see them until the end of their careers and dont realise what they have missed for years.

Pirog was a fighter who used the slick European style.

Off subject but I dont think Americans were aware of Sergio Martinez until he was facing Cintron which was late in his career. Around 5/6 years previously he was known in the UK as a decent fighter

Just imagine if Jacobs had of travelled to Canada and beaten Lemieux in the same way Saunders did. I think the hype would be crazy.
Saunders out slicks slicksters and I think he would win a wide decision over Jacobs.

I was one of the few that slightly favoured Jacobs to beat Golovkin and wouldnt have disputed the decision going the other way, but Saunders is a different style that I think would trouble Jacobs

Do you think Jacobs would be willing to travel to face the champ Saunders?

Ya gerbil charlo is way too limited for gypsy slick. Gerbil reminds me of Scott quigg, a simple minded guy with little talent who just has a size advantage and plows forward with little skill.

I could see bjs making gerbil Charlotte quit like rigo when he realises just what slickness he is up against

Jacobs would have KO'd Lemieux, so yeah, the hype would have been crazy.

I thought Golovkin beat Jacobs close but clearly. I had it 115-112 maybe 114-113. Jacobs sat back and let Golovkin's jab outwork him, and then he talked to Golovkin in exchanges later in the fight, hyping himself at being able to take the shots, but not throwing anything back. Seemingly more satisfied with the moral victory, but not capitalizing on it to land his own power. A more active Jacobs would have gotten the nod, the judges were fair that night. I didn't see 7 rounds I could give Jacobs. That being said, I just feel that Saunder's style is made to order for Jacobs. Jacobs can box on his toes and is a faster fighter than Saunders is.

I think the question is whether Saunders would travel. I don't think Jacobs would have a problem traveling as long as his camp has a say in the judges and ref. Are they both promoted by Hearn, or is Saunders with Warren?

You said it yourself. the hype would be crazy.
Still we havent seen Jacobs travel yet and dont know if he is willing to

I understand what you are saying here and dont entirely disagree with the Golovkin/Jacobs fight. I think I may have scored it for Jacobs (cant remember) but favoured Jacobs (against the odds) before the fight.

Im not disputing Jacobs may be faster or that he can box on his toes because I agree he can. Jacobs was faster than Golovkin but didnt get the decision. It wasnt speed or power which beat Jacobs in so much as the constant pressure and Golovkins footwork and movement.
Now I know Saunders style is completely different again but it isnt all about speed with Saunders. Its timing and boxing, using footwork and distance and I cant see Jacobs doing enough to pressure to beat Saunders

    Saunders is with Frank.
Saunders has shown he will travel, though he is champ

What beat Jacobs was a lack of drive and willpower to push forward once he saw he could take the shots. He let himself get outworked, which was really disappointing to me.

Well that is why they fight the fights. Will Warren let Saunders near Jacobs? They were sounding like they wanted Canelo or Golovkin. Maybe they can do a package deal. If Jacobs and Saunders are matched, they can also match Tete and Burnett or whatever his name is.

I would guess that the Golovkin/Canelo winner would be the target as that is where all of the belts are.
I doubt Jacobs would be on the radar at this moment unless there was big money available
    Good undercard there

With what you write about Jacobs, I felt similar about with Lemieux when he fought golovkin.
I didnt think Lemieux really wanted to go straight into that fight and I thought that he didnt really want to commit to his punches due to Golovkins reputation and I felt in the fight wanted to show his toughness but not go all out.
I wouldnt be shocked if Lemieux had greater one punch power but dont think he wanted to use it. Only my opinion and not a fact

Really? I found it captivating. As anti-boring as I usually am, certain slick guys I find entertaining like Saunders, Lara, Trout.... and that's about it.

Saunders is reminding me of the new stevenson. vast majority picked stevenson to lose to Dawson, Cloud, Bellew. then an overwhelming amount of people felt Fonfara would win the rematch.

I picked Stevenson to beat Dawson, Cloud, Bellew, predicted Fonfara would give him troubles the fist time, Bika would go the distance (although I was openly rotting for Bika on here), then predicted Stevenson would KO Fonfara with ease in the rematch. I know how to call Stevenson matches. I also predicted Top Dog would give him some issues.

And what the hell, I'll throw this in again, I'm the only guy on the planet that picked Joe Smith Jr. to KO Fonfara.:D
