Impressive that he came in shape enough to make the CW limit for that last run, considering the inactivity. Usually when guys stay away for that long and emerge from retirement they do so at much higher weights (see Freitas)

Truth. I wonder if we didn't see the best of Ramirez... What do you think? Do you recall scoring his fight against Huck?

Has there ever, in boxing history, been a great fighter that also had breasts?

no. All of the obese heavyweights that people hype here are a joke. You cant win world titles looking like the Michelin Man.

If he has a lot of early knockouts against low level, old-semi-retired or overweight opposition ... his people should start to market him as "The Chinese Deontay Wilder".

How long has this breed of make pretend, "manufactured" fighter existed for, anyway?

Is there a time in living memory that it wasn't the norm in boxing?

I'm sure it's always been there to some extent... Even in the pre-Queensberry days. There was money to be made so of course there were shysters looking to scam.

As far as modern manufactured frauds go.

I always wanted to see footage of his upset loss, which also seemingly retired him from the sport for good. That must have been a pretty sweet cherry to see pop after so many years of bull**** match making. Did anyone ever rate Saleem anyway?

Ever see this hype bubble burst? It's a particularly violent one...

Our very own Ding landing his patented wind up left hook... Never gets old. Landed it here in the 11th round as well. Ding-a-ling-man was a handful when he was up to iy.

One of the danger men of cruiserweight for sure. Super exciting fighter. Shame he doesn't post like he used to...
