http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/21818751/daniel-jacobs-wants-billy-joe-saunders-next-fight yes yes yes hope this happens so Jacobs can expose saunders and stop all the annoying Is saunders the best middleweight topics from beating lemmy.
Lol how many times I've heard bjs is gonna be exposed. He was exposed against Lemieux for being criminally underrated. I think bjs can out box Jacobs but Jacobs is huge for the weight and could overwhelm Saunders if he puts the pressure on for 12 rounds I'm leaning towards bjs
I've said it already on the British board, don't think there is enough money in this fight for it to happen, considering the risk for Saunders. I don't think BJS is scared of anyone, his confidence is through the roof right now, but his promoter Frank Warren won't want it. They want the unification bout with the winner of GGG v Canelo II. That's where the money's at. If Saunders loses the title to Jacobs, Jacobs will be the one who gets that money.
Oh look, 22JM and Isal liked this dripping with BUTTHURT opening post. Yes, yes, yes anything to keep Saunders away from Canelo, mwahahaha. Billy Joe has the Canelo fanboys all like..... Get a grip.
Saunders would beat Jacobs and Charlo for sure! Probably El Pollo also, but not Golovkin, he knows how to cut off the fight!
This. The combined drawing power of Saunders and Jacobs is not very high. Certainly not enough to do justice to their skills. Saunders would have to be mad to risk it all on Jacobs when he could have a GGG or Canelo payday instead.
Could be intresting hard to gauge Saunders for me went to barely beating B levels to out classing a B+ I think good challenges bring the best out of him. a Win vs Jacobs confirm he is at the A level.
Isn't Jacobs with matchroom? Can't see Eddie and frank getting together to make this unfortunately to risky!
If BJ could actually decisively beat Jacobs, I would instantly convert to the Church of Saunders Can't see that happening though, and don't think it's likely that fight would happen, because that would be a huge risk for relatively little reward.
Great matchup, neither has faced someone quite like the other, tricky challenge for both, either could win... but though Jacobs evidently has the greater overall skillset I'm going with Saunders rising to the occasion and distinguishing himself with his twinkle toes. He's the better mover, and that kind of movement is the greatest asset for a boxer. Saunders does naturally want GGG or Canelo. He's not going to entertain Jacobs till GGG and Canelo are committed to each other. But if the GGG-Canelo rematch is signed who else despite the risk is as big as Jacobs for Saunders?
Excellent fight and a true 50/50 imo, if you put a gun to my head I think I'd favour BJS's body of work over the 12rds.
