Interesting. Didn't realise AJ Boxing had signed fighters. Thought it was just a vehicle for handling Josh's media/non-boxing commitments. Joshua doesn't seem like a manager to me. Always seen him as a "I just do the fighting" type of guy. De La Hoya and Mayweather know the boxing business inside out, could be wrong but wouldn't have said the same about AJ. Like, with all due respect, why have Okolie and Buatsi signed with him?

Might be reading too much into it, but I think it's also interesting that Eddie chose to publicly give AJ credit for co-promotion. He presumably didn't have to do that. Trying to send a message? Ie. us 2 are a team, we work together not apart

 

I don't think okolie can go 10 because he puts everything into his shots and is wide open and takes for ever to bring his hands back after throwing a punch and leans forward don't get me started on his feet

Good card for a non PPV show, but those saying this will fill the 02 will be sadly mistaken, no way are Okolie or Chamberlain big enough names to sell out the 02 venue. They might sell around 10-12k tickets which is still pretty good for the stage their career is at.

All these fighters were on a next gen show a week/month ago. You can’t suddenly sell them as the countries finest and prime Saturday night viewing.

I’ve just had a look on match room website and they’re selling it as Okolie - Chamberlain main event.

Even at less than half full it will be more than FW sold in the copperbox for Selby, Degale, Yarde and Dubois. Could be embarrassing.

 

The summer brawl card at the 02 did about 3k and this is no bigger in reality. Eddie is being
Rogered by Frank in all directions - this will be the next fail for fast Eddie

that is one tough fight for cheeseman, he was excellent in the amateurs, puts some lovely combinations together but this fight maybe too soon for him.

bellotti vs jones is good, I think bellotti may have a tough fight against a ghanain if he wants to keep that commonwealth title, reckon he'll drop it and aim for the lowe/walsh winner instead

Frank couldn’t sell 6000 tickets for Degale and Selby. So anything over that is a success for Eddie and that is Frank getting rogered. Can’t sell superstars but Eddie can flog donkeys.

Eddie has major problems in his hands going into 2018. He even said himself that okolie- chamberlain should be in York hall but because frank W is plastering him and he is struggling to get any cards together he has been forced to go with it and just hope for the best.
