I honestly think AJ would be a rather routine win for Vitali.

I hate that answer because its such a typical answer to give regarding a current fighter from one of the past... but really, I do think it would be routine.

I like AJ and I think he is hell of a talent. Right now though Im realistic... I just dont see what he brings to the table that Vitali wouldnt have had a fairly easy time with.

The way someones face is does not always have any indication on the way the fight went. Because some fighters cut and bruise more easily than others.
Only desperate fanboys and trolls would use how a face looks.

Winning a fight because your opponent is cut is not a legitimate victory in a fight you are clearly losing. It is a very lucky win
Only desperate fanboys and trolls would class a win by a cut in a fight you was losing as a legit win and not s very lucky.

    Vitali took the fight
on 2 weeks notice. Was clearly winning. Was clearly the favourite to win had it continued and Lewis was clearly the one who ducked the rematch. Vitali should be the one getting all the credit from this fight.

Have a heart attack? Dude he was smashing Vitali's face in. A few more good licks and Vitali's eye ends up at ringside or Vitali gets stopped.

He could barely breathe. Watch the fight again and see Lummox "Fats" Lewis gasp for air on his stool.

Oh look, the "41 year old Klitschko" remark appears again.

Isn't it funny how the German media, who followed both Klitschko's career's closer than any of us on here, claimed it was "Perhaps Wladimirs career best performance".

These past vs present always go the same way and it's extremely unfair judging one boxer after a whole career against another who has just started.

    I will say this though.

    Both have fought at ATG.....

41 year old Wlad was is better shape than 38 year old Lewis.....

    Vitali lost and AJ won.

so being barely breathing (according to you), he easily ripped your mans face off for ahalf the distance stoppage.

you are making vitali look worse...

And in 10, 15 years there will be threads asking if this new fighter would have a chance against Joshua. Everyone will say: "Easy win for AJ".

so you are not actually judging THE FIGHT ITSELF, but an event after it. I can see why u avoid talking about the fight, seeing as it ended tko6.

Wow, Vitali was winning by 2 whole points against a fat, unmotivated Lewis! Surely he's the GOAT.

Part of me wishes the fight had continued so Lewis could have permanently damaged Vitali's eye and sent him into retirement. Then the Klittards wouldn't ***** about how Vitali was winning.

It was Wald's "best performance" because AJ has a LOT of flaws in his game. A healthy Vitali woulnd't allow AJ to recover like Wald allowed him to. He'd be gone after he gassed usually around the 6th round, Vitali has been hit by harder punches than AJ as well, so we know he can take his power.
