No it dosen't! The first Olympiad U.S.S.R competeed in boxing was like 1952 andd they learned it from the French school same goes with Judo but that was picked up from Japan. Ice hockey is another example but that was picked up from Czechs.

Russia is a relative newcomer to sport on a global scale yet has made massive inroads into everything they dedicate resources towards.

One of the best posts I have read in some time! They have only been in the game for less than 20 years and only a small percentage of their available talent even get the chance to turn pro and if they get a chance they have to live in some shack in the woods for years like Kovalev with no promoter and a manager(Big fat Egis) who takes your entire fight check and gives you an allowance like a child.

Correct form would be doing them without swinging your full body.

Those modified kipping pull ups are actually better for athletes. Usyk went arms extend to a stop then exploded all the way up and had plenty more left that clip was just for demonstration purposes.

That uppercut to the body guy just might be uppercut artist the P.O.S who made fun of Abdusalamov's medical condition. Why am I not suprised he knows nothing about physical training/conditioning either.

I do have this feeling if it was Marcus Browne doing the exact some pull ups he would have been impressed.

LOL. I know more than this Usyk guy about pull ups anyway. How many strict dead hang 2 second pause reps could he do? He'd be lucky to get 5. Instead he does these awful kipping reps to trick guys like you into thinking he's a beast!

What does the first Olympics the USSR competed in have to do with the birth of boxing in eastern europe?

The oldest Russian boxing stories can be found in the Gustin Chronicle from 990. That's close to six hundred years after Theodosius banned boxing in 393 and and 730 years before England's Figg took a stage.

edit- Also, just kind of worth adding laws prohibiting boxing in Russia go back as far as the 16th century.

Because it's standardized and empirical and relates directly to modern boxing unlike the ancient forms that date back to Kievian Rus.
