I dont see multiple knockdowns happening but I could see Canelo stopping Golovkin somewhere after the 7th round.... hope Im wrong, rooting for G and hope he pulls it off.... but I will be picking a Canelo UD, with a late stoppage also possible.

El Pollo does not have the power to knock Golovkin down, Golovkin walked right through El Pollo's right hand, when that happened El Pollo got worried....................El Pollo knew that Oscar had the judges, so he just survived....................

Big, big call Kirk. What's the basis? I didn't really see any danger of him being stopped last time out. You think his body has just had enough?

To be honest you were right about the right hand in 8 or 9 round.

I want to make clear I do not think he *will* be stopped.... I just think it shouldnt really surprise anyone if he is. I personally think he will lose a UD.

But why it wouldn't surprise me if he was stopped here is just a lot of little subtle reasons that are converging just right in this fight. Sometimes, when older fighters like G are in fights like the first one against Canelo, where they absorb a lot of big punches, it can have an odd 'poison' effect on them.... where on that night, they were able to walk through anything, taking shot after shot. But for whatever reason it takes its toll and in the next fight their brain simply doesnt take those shots the same. Especially when the opponent is the faster fighter, and the opponent is fresher. I just think with the punches that G took in the first fight, the age that imo hes showing, the layoff he will have had, the amount of punches I think he will be absorbing in the second fight, and that I think Canelo will be better in the rematch, I can just see a case where late in the fight, an older Golovkin whose chin has been chipped on a bit, who is getting a bit desperate in his attacks, walks in to a big punch he doesnt see coming that begins the start to a stoppage.

Lucky for G that Canelo is not a true middleweight banger.... as heavy handed as Canelo is he is just a heavy puncher, not (just imo) a true power puncher at middleweight (until he proves otherwise, imo)

So for that reason I think it will go the distance. But Canelo still punches hard enough and fast enough, that it just wouldnt surprise me if hes able to get a stoppage on G at this point.

So I have it 60/40 for Canelo. And I have it 75/25 that he wins by UD.
