AJ wins this fairly easily. I heard a rumour that probably at the Principality Stadium for March 31st

Parker is not afraid of Joshua, and if his chin is like Tua it could be a long night for Joshua...............but Wilder is afraid of Joshua, very afraid, that's why he runs his mouth, then runs away, demanding too much money..............hell, even Tyson Fury said he would fight Joshua with a 60 - 40 split...............Fury is not afraid..............Wilder should be afraid.............

On what basis do people think Parker has got a good chin?

There’s nobody on his resume who stands out as a big puncher.

I think he’s stepping in to uncharted territory and he’s gona get destroyed.

AJ beats Parker in 5 rounds.
Parker is too small and AJ has power which is a bad combination.

Bull**** misleading headline. Article actually says "they are close" to signing contracts. That's not new news.

I'll believe it when it's announced at a press conference.

If Pakers chin holds up then it's an interesting fight. As there is a chance AJ will be blowing by the later rounds if Parker can be aggressive and set a fast pace.

Joshua almost needs to turn into Wlad for this fight Jab, jab, smother jab, set up the right hand. Josuha has a good reach advantage in this he needs to use do it well and he doesn't need to get involved too much with Parker. We saw Parker getting easily tied up by Hughie Fury it something AJ could use as a tactic. Strangely I think AJ might have faster hands and if that's the case Parker is going night night, too much against him.

Parker has a decent defense but he hasn't looked all that in his last few fights and hasn't stopped or looked close to stopping his last 3 opponents. Its an interesting fight but AJ has to be a strong favorite. Would like to see him come down in weight a little for this one.

Parker gets KTFO inside 6. Joshua too big and powerful. Well learn more about Parkers chin than AJs power in this fight

True but you could as easily ask on what basis is Joshua considered a destructive power puncher ?
20 stoppage wins but the best of those were a 41 year old wladimir (who was never known for his chin anyway) and Carlos Takam (who wasn't exactly stopped convincingly), and Joshua took a whole load of rounds to get the fights finished.

Parker's chin is about as proven as Joshua's punch at the elite level. That's not much at all.

I think Joshua will grind him down and stop him late, but wouldn't be surprised if it went the distance.

I don't think this will be a one sided affair. Parker has looked poor in recent fights but Joshua is a big stationary target which suits him, he'll be able to let him combinations go unlike vs Fury and Takam. But Joshua's counter punching and power will be the difference.

Parker's chin is relatively unproven, but at this point there are more reasons to think he is durable than otherwise.

Admittedly those reasons aren't the most scientific, and seem to consist of:

    1) He's Samoan
    2) He has a big head
    3) He's apparently never been knocked down
    4) He seemingly can't talk for more than 5 minutes without telling you how great his chin is

While there isn't a great deal of empirical evidence to prove he has a granite chin, it's probably pretty sturdy. The few live, durable fighters on Joshua's record have taken him rounds, so when making predictions (which is guesswork anyway) I can see why people may think Parker takes him the distance.

    This is a good post.

I fail to see how Parker who beat the likes of Takam and Andy Ruiz Jr lets not forget, is getting stopped early by AJ or stopped at all.

We saw how AJ struggled with Takam who is not as good as Parker, and how AJ effectively needed a British stoppage to keep his 100% KO record in tact (no doubt this is important to Hearn).

Although Parker was unimpressive against the Cojanu and Hughie, there were good reasons for both of those performances being what they were.

This fight will be AJs toughest test to date, and Parker has the look of a man with a world class set of whiskers on him. Those Somoan genetics are notorious for that attribute. He also has much better movement than AJ. Lets not forget for all of AJs strengths, movement and lack of it, is his biggest weakness.

Parker can move and is fitter than AJ however as soon as AJ hits him then it's going to hurt as Parker is a lot smaller guy. He says he has a chin but that is unproven and people are only.basing that theory on him being Samoan. Yes AJ had a little trouble despatching Takem who is also small but don't forget AJ was preparing for Pukev for much of his training.
AJ will make this a quick fight.

Old Wladimir Klitschko lasted into round 11.

Carlos Takam lasted into round 10, and there's reasonable suspicion that he possibly could have lasted longer without the British Stoppage.

Dominic Breezeale lasted into the 7th.
    As did Dillian Whyte.

But people are saying Parker will be destroyed inside 6, inside 5, despite conceding he "moves quite well".

Of course, there were 16 Joshua opponents who didn't make it past the 3rd round ... Charles Martín, Eric Molina and Kevin Johnson being the foremost among them.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but I'd tend towards putting young Joseph Parker at least on a par with the former group rather than the latter. And in fact I'd go further and consider Parker potentially better than any of them, and very possibly good enough to hand Joshua his first defeat, maybe I'm crazy.

This looks like a routine win for Joshua. Parker can't fight on the inside to save his life, doesn't move his head, and just plods forward.
