If Frampton turns up on the night and put the effort in to camp he will win SD imo. Too many miles on the clock for Donaire although I personally give him a close to 50/50 chance. Frampton has looked quite poor against sub standard opposition maybe a big name will gee him up enough to perform. Who knows Donaire might 'slip' in the shower...
This isn't Donaire's weight, good matchmaking from Frampton's crew...a big name that has slipped a lot. Very Khan-esque matchmaking.

Good match-up. This could be close. I agree that "past it but not completely shot" is an accurate description of Donaire. Problem is, could it be an accurate description of Frampton too? Last time out, Carl would've been in trouble if it'd been scheduled for 12. I appreciate that he'd had a long layoff. Plus the fact Horacio Garcia was a young, super fit, durable pressure fighter. When you think about it, that's a recipe for an upset. But sometimes, there's that one fight where you suddenly just realise a fighter isn't what they used to be. It can happen very quickly, especially at the lighter weights. What did we see last time - was it an off night for Frampton, or the beginning of the end? I don't know.
The days of donaire been a major force are behind us now. He hasnt fought at top level for a while now and im not sure he has anything left to offer. Saying that, if team frampton hasnt changed things up and we get a performamce like last time and donaire sees framptons situation as an oppertunity and comes with one last hurrah, then it could turn into an interesting fight.

Agreed, great match making as a run out and get fit and in form fight, against a fantastic fighter who even while he is no longer his fully great self of previous years, will bring questions, tactics and boxing IQ. As others have said, this will tell us as well if Carl has anything left or is done, himself. By far beats a week before the fight being scheduled against a TBA!!
You and the people who "like" your post need to get a better understanding of boxing. The rush to condemn Carl over his purportedly sub par performance is getting ridiculous. That was a VERY TOUGH opponent...get it? Carl did perfectly fine. It was actually a good win. Anyway ..... Donaire won't present anything like the same physical challenge to framps. Different fight completely.
Based on your opinion. The reality is when LSC took those type of fights he stomped those type of guys. It was a terrible performance against a guy who is not a top 10 ranked fighter. To say that was a good win is fanboyism.

The guy Frampton fought was a c level guy, that is the reality. When LSC fights those guys he walks through them.
Depends on what Jackal shows up, If its the Jackal from the Horacio, he could get stopped late. But in all likelihood he'll show up fully prepared and win a close UD or stop Donaire late.
