I'd have Langford locked into the 1# spot, but that's just me.

Dempsey could make that weight and packed the most power.

Hardest puncher is clearly Marciano. Best puncher is clearly Louis.

For one shot power, I would take Dempsey and Haye over the attrition puncher Marciano.

And I am not afraid to face the truth that Kudryashov, tho a sh*t boxer, punched as hard as anyone mentioned. He's just too one-dimensional to translate that power into championship level wins.. which again proves the fact that power, unto itself, gets over-rated.

You exaggerate how much of an attrition puncher Marciano was. He had 23, 10 count knockouts out of 43 total KOs. An attrition fighter has a lot more tkos than actual knockouts. Marciano stopped 26 of his opponents in 3 rounds or less. I consider Dempsey and Marciano in the same bracket for punching power, Marciano just seems to have a heavier single punch.

Curtis Sheppard was a murderous puncher for pure power .. I'd put him and Langford for single shots ..

The right hand that Marciano knocked Walcott out wit was as powerful as any shot Haye or Dempsey threw, I`ve seen a photo of the impact on Walcott`s face! It was the most picture perfect knockout besides Ray Robinson`s KO over Fullmer at middle (so it would have been a softer blow) and then Marcian blew Walcott away in one round, that`s power.

Walcott walked into that shot. He took the same right hands flush in the previous 12 rounds and never came close to going down. The famous picture of Joe's distorted face that you mention is one of those right hands Rocky landed a few rounds before... And Walcott didn't flinch
