Yeah, can't tell if his success (and improved grades on the eye test) at 168lbs are more the result of becoming the bigger fish in a smaller pond, with just a deeper talent pool at middle, or if he actually wears the weight that much more comfortably and is actually a better h2h fighter in that division.

Ya man definitely hard to say. The Groves fight will tell a lot but.... from the little Ive seen of the two face to face, Eubank looks suprisingly undersized there. Eubanks big, so thought hed fit in a bit better but the little I saw Groves makes him look a bit small.

Anyways, rooting for Eubank to win the tourney and hopefully come back down. I can see him being a diva if he wins though and saying that now people have to come to him in his new weight. Meh.

"No" leads the poll for the first time now since it was put up. 37-36.

You're by far one of the most mind-numbingly idiotic posters on this site, you really need to get a FAR better perspective of this sport, because the skewed prism you're viewing it through is covered with soap scum and riddled with cracks and divots. Most of the time you come across as kind of.... insane.

Expect what? Starting conversations by asking questions which, as it turns out, split opinions at large 50-50?

Pirog GG Canelo and even Jacobs are on another level Saunders will lose to all ,IMO Saunders is on the same position as Lemieux was when he beat Stevens , Saunders will clearly be beaten by all those fighters I mentioned, stil a good tough fighter but not on that level

Fair enough, that's your opinion and I respect it but clearly about half of people feel that he is on the same level, per the poll results. (and that isn't just all Brits, if you click to expand the list of respondents)

    Martinez was better

Jacobs is better, Canelo is better too
Geale should be ahead too since he unified belts in 2012,

There are some other fighters now like Murata, Derevyanchenko, Charlo which would beat Saunders

Most of the people saying that are the same who we're hyping Lemieux

I highly doubt Murata beats Saunders, not a great style match up there, Derevyanchenko would give him a run for his money, and since Charlo has already CLEARLY lost to a slick southpaw in Trout, with questionable whiskers, what makes you think he could beat a slicker southpaw who's harder to look good against with solid whiskers? Saunders is an absolute nightmare for the evil twin.

By the way @IntentionalButt Did you ever get around to watching Charlo-Trout? I've caught quite a bit of flack for scoring it 118-110 Trout, somewhat of a trollish scorecard but still very plausible, that being said, Trout won the match easily IMO, probably more along the lines of 116-112 though. Pinoy had it 116-112 as well and thought Austin was robbed. If you haven't you should give it a watch and score it.

I wasn't, though. I don't think Lemieux is even Saunders' best win.

He'd look like a checkers champion trying to beat a grandmaster at chess. It wouldn't end well for him.

Still at least he's proven he can be a legit player in the current middleweight scene now. If he can win as many rounds against Canelo as he did DL he might even get a draw. Good times.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pirog's back injury has been maybe the most devastating blow to boxing's middleweight division in my lifetime.
