That IBO belt is not a credible world title...

i'm not sold yet on eubank jnr to be honest, his best win? a shot AA? he was fairly ordinary vs BJS i've not seen too much in his wins over unproven and faded opponents since to suggest he's as good as groves.

happy to be proved wrong here, but i think groves will win

I'd say these two are my two favourite British fighters. It's a shame they have to fight, and if either won in a way I would feel happy and pissed off at the same time.

I might have egg on my face but I think Eubank Jnr is all hype and I'm going for the tried and tested Groves (albeit past his best)to trounce this mouthpiece.

Via points? TKO?

I personally can’t pick but after hearing what Froch has to say about Sparring Eubank v Fighting Groves then I face Eubank. Especially now he’s a completely different beast to back then.

Froch is a bitter man. When it comes to Groves I don’t put any value on anything he says.

Groves will bash Eubank up with the jab. He holds so many advantages I am baffled that people think it is 50/50. Don’t get me wrong, if Groves let’s Eubank draw him into a scrap then he will lose...but I think he respects Eubank and he’ll be bang on it.

CEJ is on the rise, if can weather the early rounds and not get tagged too much then he will win.
His work rate and stamina are top notch. Why is this fight NOT 50-50? They are both a level below elite but yes Groves took more risks and fought higher caliber opponents but he also lost those fights, notably to Froch and Jack.

Let’s be honest, a Eubank victory is dependant on ‘what-ifs’...what if Groves has aged over night, what if Groves gasses, what if he’s injured, what if he’s had too many wars’ etc etc it’s about what Groves can no longer do rather than what Eubank can do.

I think the 'what ifs' go both ways, whoever imposes his gameplan on the opponent will win. I have no issues with people making Groves the fav but he's not an overwhelming favorite. In my eyes its 50-50 and I will strongly favor the winner to win the whole thing :)

Groves should be the favourite considering he had fought the higher calibre fights and experienced at world level and current champion, bookies have Jr as fav. While Jr is on the rise, he has not fought at world level and came up from MW.

However I think groves dipped quite a bit since froch 1 and will be there for the taking. Jr has speed, stamina advantages and chin according to froch. My prediction is Jr to stop grove TKO 10 on his feet.

I keep changing my mind, at first I was thinking Groves due to his quality of opposition, being a natural SMW and his brilliant jab will give Eubank a lot of trouble. Now, I'm thinking more about the 'styles make fights' factor, Eubank is the sort of fighter that could take full advantage of a Groves fading in the later rounds, with that in mind I actually think despite a poor last fight Callum Smith is all Wrong for Eubank and would beat him

The Super Middleweight limit is 12st (168 lbs) I am NOT a Super Middleweight. But that will not stop me from dominating the division starting with George Groves on Feb 17th #NextGen #TeamEubank

Interesting tweet...

He said his intention was to move up and down didn’t he? Wonder if he’s got his eye on the BJS rematch or GGG/Canelo after he’s knocked out of the tournament.
