Sonny banks and henrry cooper are not top 50 in the hardest punchers ever... Anyone can drop a tough guy if he lands in the right moment. You are insinuating that holyfield was a hard puncher becuase he dropped mercer it is absurd... According to you jimmy young could bang.. He dropped foreman... He could not break an egg. There are several factors in a fight it is not 1+1. Stamina, chin, balance etc also.. Holyfield did hurt mercer with a body shot so it had nothing to do with breaking a great chin..
Evander was sick of the heart before he fought tyson it is a fact

Holyfield was totally cleared of any heart trouble late in 94. He was also told he was originally misdiagnosed and there was never a problem. There was no heart problems or talk of them going into the Tyson fight a couple of years down the track.

Anyway this one is the most irrelevant part of the topic... Evander was well past his prime,he was not a puncher and he kicked the ass of tyson and did hurt him.badly too. Period.on the paper there are no proof of tyson having better chin than frazier

Personally i think Holyfield was a good puncher at the very least. He was no Lewis, Tyson, Shavers or Foreman but the guy had very respectable power.

But was not considered a puncher...neither was douglas So you did not have to be terminator to hurt tyson.

Correct. Holy is my 4th fav heavy but his power does tend to get overrated by some. I remember some idiot tried arguing he hit harder than Ron Lyle

Tyson is a very bad matchup for Frazier the same as he is for Marciano. If you're a swarmer the last thing you want to do is charge into a bigger, stronger, probably faster swarmer with an iron chin, yourself. Not saying Frazier couldn't win, but I definitely favour Tyson.

Tyson would bounce Frazier off the floor. I don't think Smokin' Joe's chin could stand up to Mike. Two rounds tops!

I never said Young could bang he caught Foreman coming in dropped him for a flash knockdown different matter. Holyfield was cleared after the Moorer fight , you seem to be looking for an argument, have it with some one else.

Joe Frazier was as tough as anyone who ever stepped into a ring. People can talk about the old time fighters at the turn of the 20th century as being tougher than modern fighters but while that may be generally true, it doesn't apply to Frazier. None of which means that Tyson wouldn't beat him but my guess is that if Tyson didn't take him out quickly, then Frazier would take him out at any point past the 4th round.

I would bet on Tyson, but I do think people disregard Frazier's non-FOTC resume too readily. Joe essentially cleaned out the division before Ali came back.

I love Joe Frazier, but I can't see Joe surviving against Tyson. Styles make fights, Joe coming at Iron Mike isn't going to survive. He'll get hit with uppercuts and hooks that are faster than his own. If it gets out of the 8th round Joe could win but I don't see Joe making the fourth round
