I have nothing to gain from defending Tyson's personal habits but i am being fair and objective here on the Desiree Washington which was filled with irregularities, inconsistencies and foul play.

I remember that. Also, didn't Czyz claim he hurt his back as well?

I can’t remember, but I wouldn’t put it past Czyz to say something like that.

Am I calling you a hater because of the reason you implied? The second paragraph was generalizing to the Tyson Hater Republic, not you. Or rather, not just you.

Douglas looked extremely hesitant. He BARELY beat the count. Odd that someone who timed the count, punched the canvas out of disgust for finally getting hit flush and then biding his time to beat the count by 1/100th of a second. If Meyran called the fight off at that point I guarantee Douglas wouldn't have a problem with it.

I very much disagree. He wanted to quit so bad that he came back out and clearly won the next round. Doesn't make much sense does it?

Do a poll and I think you'd find that most of us here would be "Tyson haters" because we don't agree with you on this.

I don't know how anyone could think Tyson can't deal with "any kind of adversity".
It would be impossible to win all those fights and become world champion without dealing with some adversity.

Okay, Mike Tyson had plenty of "easy" 1st round KOs, and maybe people are remembering those fights - but then there are fights like Tillis, Ribalta, Thomas, Tucker, etc. They put up some resistance and extended the fights 6, 10, 12 full rounds.

Mike Tyson has battled adversity in his life and come out successful in the face of some adversities. End Thread

Beats the bully theory as well. The likes of Tillis, Ribalta, Thomas, Tucker came to fight. Marvis Frazier came to fight as evidenced by his thug life face off.

Ah yes, Marvis Frazier. All these years later and I still don’t know who I felt worse for Marvis or Joe. If ever a father overestimated and ruined his boxing son, this has to be the prime example. As a renowned boxing historian, with a deep respect for the sport’s history, I’m sure Tyson hated to have to beat up Joe’s son.

I remember watching a video of Holmes vs Marvis Frazier and one person commented "Joe should have been arrested for child abuse" Lol

Douglas BARELY beat the count. Looked to me like he made a split second choice to continue...and then the bell rang to save his azz from sampling something else. Even though Douglas was never known to quit before :ohno

Sounds preposterous to Tyson haters like yourself, and I get it. Just admit you're a hater. It's ok. Go on.
