    5'7, to 5'3, a natural 122 pounder against a guy whose fought at 130 four times already. Yeah, size was definitely a factor, as was age. If Rigs whoops some other guys at 130, that would tell us what type of win it is. As of right now, it is nothing more than an asterisk.

    Exactly. Size and age were humongous factors. Rigo had zero chance in there. What's most frustrating is all of the people calling this a masterclass. Did they not watch the fight? It was a hugfest, one of the most boring, least skillful, pieces of **** I've ever seen. Neither guy did anything most of the rounds. This fight ought to go down in infamy as a con on the fans. Instead of being ashamed though, they build it up as this major accomplishment.

    Size also mattered, but age was more important. In general i think Loma is better than Rigo as a boxer and he would have beaten Rigo in "prime vs prime", but I'm not sure that Loma would have beaten Rigo if he was 37 years old and Rigo 29

    Exactly how was size a factor? Lomachenko didn't mow him down with insurmountable power. Lomachenko didn't initiate clinches and didn't bully him physically. Lomachenko fought him at all ranges. Rigondeaux actually had the longer reach.

    I get the feeling you only watched the fight once with your eyes closed. Watch the fight again. It was anything but boring, aside from the excessive holding by Rigo. It was technical brilliance on Loma’s part who adjusted to Rigo’s style in just one round.

    There are a lot of wins that are clearly superior to it in 2017 alone.

    Then you've got Horn/Pacquiao, Spence/Brook, Srisaket/Roman I, among others that are likely to be viewed by many as superior as well.

    Funny to see so much respect given to Rigondeaux all of a sudden out of nowhere, haha!

    Personally one of the greatest wins of the modern era is... Horn UDing Pacquiao.:D

    One P4P fighter beating another one, very impressive, but ultimately not shocking, so no really big deal.

    But for a relative unknown to beat the biggest star in the Boxing world not named Mayweather, that's incredible.:deal:
