Nonsense. A pound is a pound.

Duran was not outweighed in these fights.

Loma was being "dirty boxed" by a man 11 REAL pounds heavier, not fantasy "natural pounds"

Duran and Leonard never gave up that kind of weight, as great as they were, they liked their advantages.

A pound is a pound. **** it then man. Give Loma some beer have him bulk to 175 and fight Beterbiev. If a pound is a pound. What difference will it make. Because a pound is a pound. Or is that not your logic?

Duran didnt beer his way up, he was in phenominal career best shape for Leonard 1 and in very good shape for his age against Hagler. And he was most certainly not outweighed.

If Loma did turn Sumo and fought light heavies, it would be wrong to say he was outweighed. Beterbiev would be a more fit 180 and stronger, but he wouldnt be "50 pounds heavier" Come on, weight is not an abstract concept.

Loma was 138 at 9 am for an 11 pm fight. Crawford was 157 on the night of the fight.

Mikey Garcia was 5-6 and was 129 lbs. 3 years ago. He moved up to fight bigger guys for the challenge, or maybe he couldn't make weight, who knows, but they are about the same size.

And Loma has never weighed more than 138 in a fight night weigh in.

The idea he was still gaining pounds while Rigo did not is just that, an idea.

Nobody moves up for "the challenge" , get that romantic fantasy out of your head.

I believe Garcia himself said he was 148 against Broner, so..no. Garcia is about 10 pounds heavier than Loma in their last bouts respectively.

There may be one guy in Manny however as this thread has shown there's a lot of delirious ****ers out there who think anyone can do what Manny did and the weight simply doesnt matter lol.

I dont know. I think Manny is more like a 30s -50s fighter in many respects.

He began boxing as a young teen in bad conditions and under went a significant lifestyle change in his mid 20s or so.

You just arent going to see many fighters in that situation now. Hes more like an Archie Moore than anybody today.

Extreme minority on this forum did. Look at P4P lists posted on here before the fight was made.

And I don't think you want to cite ESPN for P4P rankings, ha. Probably not RING or CBS either. Deontay Wilder is consensus P4P top 10 too, then, I guess.

Dude had like 5 fights in 5 years with a shaky bout or two among them. Low ranking opposition, as well. Fantastic single win in 2012 got him there. It didn't keep the old man there for 5.5 years after though.

I'm not saying he was viewed as trash. Hold your horses. But no consensus top 10.

    Well that's flattering, thanks.

I've never had anything against Lomo. Just his fans and anointed greatness. He has been overrated as a pro since before he even turned pro. Not his fault at all. I enjoy having a great very active champion around who is climbing weight classes, who doesn't? But I'm not all of a sudden going to hold him to some completely lesser standard of resume and accomplishment analysis.

The "I don't like his fans " gets pulled and of course you think he is overrated "as a pro and before he even turned pro" yet you have nothing against "Lomo" despite using the Lomo/homo *******ization of his names spelling. That 'Lomo" **** was started by LBDC trash who all have nothing against him either.

What a *****. Still sore and trolling because Kovalev got his chin and guts caved in. Get over it, that happened months ago now. If Lomachenko landing a little pity pat on little Rigondeaux gives you some kind of solace, from the beating that Kovalev took, hey, whatever floats your boat.
