Foreman dictates it with his jab and has the chin to eat any cross counters that comeback. Foreman KO 5 via uppercut as Max throws his right.

A prime and focused Baer, would be too much for old Foreman.

    Interesting matchup.

Baer would likely have his momemts. But, old George was very hard to hurt, much less stop.
I think George's telephone pole jab would cause big problems for Max. Don't think it would be a blowout like Foreman-Cooney, but, I think the Foreman that fought Holyfield outlasts Max and stops him by Tko late.

The only world class heavyweight that old man Foreman stopped was Moorer.

I very much doubt that he would be stopping a prime Max Baer.

I am not saying you are wrong, but, most fighters who got hit by George (even Old George), got hurt. Max Baer may be tough, but, he was not exactly elusive. He was often there to be hit. His solid chin allowed him to prevail over lesser opponents, but, against a real puncher like Joe Louis, Max got slaughtered. George was not the precision puncher Louis was, but, he likely hit just as hard as Joe punch for punch (if not harder). A prime Holyfield had his hands pretty full with Old George. And, I just happen to think Holyfield was a few levels above Baer.

What fights of Baer do I need to see to convince me that he was the real deal?

Foreman still had his power, but his reflexes were as you would expect for a 40+ year old faighter.

If guys like Stewart are lasting the distance against him, then he is probably not going to stop a prime Baer, who was durable if nothing else.

What do you mean by the real deal?

    He was what he was.

He was a tremendous natural talent, and remarkable underachiever.

He was for a short period, a standout among the heavyweights of the day.

For all that he fell short, he is probably one of the 30 or so greatest heavyweights, or all time.

A pure slugger like Baer or Foreman, is almost like a unicorn among heavyweights.

Only a tremendous natural talent, in terms of power, durability, and reflexes, can make that style work, but one who can is a force of nature!

When people are saying Baer is too fast with his telegraphed, windmill, punching machine style punches.... then I'm thinking he's fighting a corpse, but Foreman is no corpse.

He pretty much was by then.

Just a corpse who had somehow held on to his durability, and still had his power, but did not have that much else.

Baer on points is most likely scenario. He uses his mobility to pick his shots against George, and would be too much in the exchanges.
