I have to always remind myself that there are all ages and types posting on forums like this.

 

Lomachenko did not impose his size on Rigo, nor did it have a dramatic impact on the outcome of the bout. Rather Loma baffled the aging Cuban with speed, skill, and movement. And while it would certainly be a more competitive affair with a more youthful Rigo at 126lbs, Lomachenko defeats any version of the decorated Cuban.

I find it curious, however, how the very same folks who constantly reference the weight advantage (7-8lbs) Lomachenko enjoyed over Rigo are strangely silent on the even more pronounced weight advantage Salido enjoyed. Funny that.

 

I disagree. The size allowed the bigger man to cover more distance, and it definitely had a dramatic outcome on the fight. There is a reason that Arum didn't let the fight happen at 126, when Loma said he and Rigo had agreed to everything as far as weight. Arum didn't have a problem with it at 130 because he knew Loma would be too big for Rigs.

At the morning weigh in Lomachenko was seven pounds heavier than a fully clothes Rigondeaux. By fight time that was probably 12 pounds.

By the same reasoning, Salido would beat any version of Lomachenko. He seems to have an issue with aggresive in your face mugging type styles. Sure Salido was heavier, but also weight drained. In that instance, it isn't really an excuse. He should have figured out how to get to the weight drained, shop worn Mexican warrior sooner, and he wouldn't have that blemish on his record.

 

Is that also true for the Salido fight?

 

Lol!! You are dumber than a rock Homes. How many more pounds was Salido than Loma on fight night?? How many times did Salido hit Vasyl low?? How many times did Salido grab and hold Loma?? I’ll give you a hint on the last question... it was about as many times as your ex hope Rigo did! Try to know what you’re talking about before posting dumb dumb ‘Aight’?

I am a huge admirer of Loma, I rank him number 1 P4P right now so I'm not hating on him.

I'm not taking a leak over a great performance because it was a great performance but let's be realistic, honest and not ignore the fact they looked weights apart, the size difference was very noticeable.

 

Bro, still isn't consensus when clearly less than half of this forum thought so. That is not consensus. I'd be lenient if it were in the 3 out of 4-range. Less than half. That's revisionist talk.

 

Loma was likely at least 12 pounds heavier on fight night. Rigondeaux did the morning weigh in fully clothed.
