Low blows: Andre Ward vs Kovalev 2

Farmy's Farmy he's always been that way but I think most people are understandably angry about the ending of the fight. And anytime the topic is discussed the usual suspects come up with R word in relation to Kovalev as if it somehow makes it OK. I mean fair play to Ward making it an issue before the fight.

But although a clever tactic to influence the referee and others it's not exactly fair to give a fighter carte blanche to use illegal tactics without punishment. It is a sporting contest after all.

As reported, Byrd who scored the Golovkin/Alvarez fight 10 rounds for El Pollo and only 2 rounds for Golovkin will not be penalized at all! Bob Bennett, the boxing commissioner lied live on HBO, claiming that Byrd was a great judge and had never had a bad card until the Golovkin/Alvarez fight! A total lie! Byrd has been corrupt for years. Jim Lampley said that if fans do not do something now, the corruption in boxing will continue! Bob Bennett was also called out by HBO for lying about the last Rigo fight when Rigo held his opponent's head and hit him three times in a row, then clearly after the bell landed a left hook and knocked his opponent out! Bob Bennett lied live on HBO, said their video man told him that the punch was clearly before the bell while the video was being replayed! Later the decision was changed, but only after HBO proved him wrong! The same Bob Bennett who refused to watch the replay of Kovalev/Ward when Ward clearly landed three low blows in a row to Kovelev's testicles!. Call the number and complain! I will do it tomorrow! I accidently posted the low blow video with Paulie Malignaggi commentating.....................but decided to just leave it under my reply. I have posted about this a lot because I see the low blows, then see Ward fans claiming there were none!

BOXING RULES STATE THAT A LOW BLOW IS ANYTHING BELOW THE BELLY BUTTON (NAVEL), NOT THE BELT! HOWEVER, THOSE WERE CLEARLY BELOW THE BELT, LOOK AT THE LETTERS ON KOVALEV'S TRUNKS! CLEAR EVIDENCE, YET SOME STILL CLAIM THERE WERE "NO" LOW BLOWS! ABOVE IS CLEAR PROOF OF LOW BLOWS, ANYONE WHO DOES NOT ADMIT IT IS TOTALLY DELUSIONAL......................THEY DO NOT WANT THE TRUTH! I WOULD PAY TO SEE KOVALEV VS. WARD IN MOSCOW, WITH RUSSIAN JUDGES, REFEREE AND BOXING COMMISSION! WHY NOT, WARD HAD ALL HIS OFFICIALS AND VENUE! THIS WRONG SHOULD BE RIGHTED! WE NEED ANOTHER FBI INVESTIGATION INTO FIGHT FIXING IN VEGAS, YES, THERE WAS ONE YEARS AGO...............

 

there was definitely an undertone (not even that subtle) of 'R' following that fight on this board, and I received a ban for calling it out, which was very bizarre.
this fight certainly was a tipping point, not just on here, but on 'fightnews' as well. it got quite ugly.
I guess that's why it remains a sore point for some.

but as I've said before, if cycling and athletics in general can be rife with corruption and drug use while operating under one governing body, imagine what is happening in boxing. we can also expect to see more inexplicable scorecards in mega $$$ fights.

Still waiting for someone to refute the fact your balls arent on your belly button or waistline--which is where the majority of the so called "low blows" landed. If you disagree with that youre either blind or stupid.

 

Video? We all saw it live and on slow mo replay. Myself, Weeks, and the NSAC saw no illegal low blows cry baby. I thought that you would be happy Kov lost since Kov almost killed Cleverly lmao.

No but your bladder is, as is your hip bone and other vulnerable areas that are off limits in a prize fight. Which is why all blows in the groin area are discouraged and met with a pause in action.

The other issue is a fighter should not be allowed to target the so called "borderline" area as it's an unfair advantage. "Keep them up" Ward was actually having success by feinting low blows, and that just isn't right.

 

They can't refute anything. They'll just keep in crying. My thing is how did Ward walk through the Krushers punches? What happened to Kovs vaunted power. You know what, I'm not going to dis Kov because a few of his cry baby fans can't take the loss. Kov lost get over it.

 

Ward is a two faced POS in my book sorry, Whn a fighter claims neutral officials sre not fair then you van see what he expects
