Fuuuuuuck you guys, I didn't know this thread was here.

Anyway, he's magnificent, but he's going to get his clock cleaned I think.

Although, is it my imagination or did he look a little neater against Eynullayev defensively?

He does need to button it down as the competition bar is raised, that's very true. I think he mostly had just been dicking around of late, bored with dominating this class he's plateaued at, but he must needs shed these bad habits before he levels up.

He does show flashes of knowing how to do the right thing, so I'm optimistic that he'll be able to put it all together consistently when he needs to. But at this current trajectory he'll need to soon.

Heading into this month, Akhmedov was rated #31 by the WBC. Now, by itself the crushing of Eynullayev probably wouldn't elevate him too much, but in conjunction with his 10-round unanimous decision over DeShon Webster just a couple of weeks ago, on December 8th (which happened to be a dual title defense of his WBC Youth & NABF Junior light heavyweight titles)...

He will almost certainly be cracking the mid to high twenties at 175lbs as of the first edition of rankings published in the new year. This will put him in the company of & rubbing shoulders with Umar Salamov, Frank Buglioni, Yunieski Gonzalez, etc.

2018 ought to be a big year for Akhmedov if he keeps up this pace, this overall average of LOC, this year-round dedication in the gym, and this kind of form on fight night.

Highly impressive. I might be missing someone or not fully aware of all the top LHW prospects out there but Akhmedov seems head and shoulders above all the other LHW prospects I've seen so far.

Has anyone heard if La Cruz from Cuba ever intends to turn pro? He and Buatsi are excellent prospects IMO, I mean La Cruz looks as legit and can't miss as a fighter can get, it would be a shame if he never turns pro or if he does but is far removed from his prime when he does.

Oh but don't sleep on Willy green-ass Hutchinson, apparently.

I think César la Cruz might be eyeing Tokyo in 2020 and the chance to go 2 for 3 in the Olympics? And while he's at it rack up a few more world championship golds (what is the record, anyway? He already has four...plus he's 21-3 in the WSB, so there's plenty more on his plate if he's in no personal hurry to go 'pro'. He's only 28, for a Cuban boxer that's practically an infant)

:lol:Willy Hutchinson. I hope nobody mentioned him as a better prospect than Akhmedov? That's downright insane if so.

I've been blown away watching this kid ever since you first brought him to ESB's attention last spring or summer.

"Grime Rockstar" did on the page before this one, but it was unclear whether or not he was trolling.

He's part of that same Todd498/Kevin Willis gang (the ones I just think of as "the Aryans from the show Oz. Except with more buttsex") so who can ever be sure when he's being serious. Or, er, was being serious, as it now says "booted" under his username.

I can't believe Akhmedov only rose one spot in the WBC rankings from the September edition (published a week into October, ranked #32) until now (ranked #31 as of the end-of-year edition)? The results cut-off for the end-of-2017 rankings was December 8th. Akhmedov fought DeShon Webster the very next day, the 9th, in a bout with a couple of pieces of WBC hardware involved. The fight with Eynullayev was after the cut-off but was non-title anyway, so might not have influenced anything.

New rankings are due out this Saturday, January 13th, hopefully with a bump up into the mid to high twenties.

Man, how stupid are you.For a boxing forum addict like yourself with hundreds of thousands of posts SURELY you would have known by now to do your research on a fighter not just by looking on boxrec and actually watch their fights and check out their amateur record before commenting!!!!! Dumbass.

Willy Hutchinson was a WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS GOLD MEDALIST & a European Youth Championships GOLD medalist!!!!!!

I can imagine you feeling really extremely embarrassed right now !!

He's 19 and yeah he has completely 'aced it' as a pro so far. He looked brilliant as a amateur and so far as a pro. People in the Uk boxing circles are raving about this kid!

So you laughing and claiming I'm trolling it's completely laughable to ME when Hutchinson was a better amateur than Akhmedov!! Akhmedov hasn't exactly fought anyone at all yet himself.
I wasn't even dissing the Kazakh so I don't even know why you are crying about what I said. Akhmedov is good he should do well but I think Hutchinson is the better talent and I stand by it. Do your research before commenting with your childish dumb comments.

It's 'insane' is it to think that when he us a 19 year top talent who was won World Youth Championship Gold & European Youth Championship Gold - Hutchinson beat all the Russians, Ukranians, Cubans. He was a better amateur than Akhmedov.., and has looked top drawer in his first two pro fights.

Man if you'd have hopped out of IB's backside for a minute and actually researched on who Hutchinson is maybe you wouldn't look so stupid right now bro.You might have been able to have deleted your posts but unfortunately for you it's quoted now ;)

The amateurs suit him way better than Akhmedov. The AM system shelters pussies from beasts like Akhmedov.

Hey, thought the P-word would be blocked but it wasn't...... Should I edit before Im banned again for the same offence for the hundredth time?

What is a Scottish LHW doing fighting in France? Surely that must be the first time the French people have ever seen a Scottish LHW on their shores?

Amateur pedigree is imortant to an extent The Josh Taylor vs Ohara Davies was a classic example of that.
Your bizzarre obsession with Akhmedov leaves you all insecure and butthurt just to someone saying anyone else could possibly be better lol. What you gonna be like when he steps up 175 is a killers division. Some people are gonna think other other fighters are better than him you nerd.

I know a talent when I see one. Hutchinson is the truth, he made his debut on Joe joyces debut undercard, yet after the show everyone was talking about Hutchinson not Joyce.
