Lennox Lewis comes to mind considering Tyson’s Stans are quick to point out that he beat a washed up version of their hero.

I think he turns people off with the Bible thumping. Too bad really. Think about it, Olympic gold medalist, articulate, good looking, undefeated, and he’s relatively unknown.

Ironic though that a Bible thumper would have anything to do with James Prince.

Some of the smaller fighters that fight on quick notice, and always "lose" on opponent's home turf.....and end up with 0.500 records.....but in fact they were really good fighters.

Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss. 77-53-6? LOL

Another site provided some names as examples of good fighters, bad records:
    Emanual Burton 34-32

    Glen Johnson
    Fritzie Zivic - 60 + loss's
    Kid Cocoa - 60+ loss's
    Chalkey Wright - 40+ loss's
    Gaspar Ortega - 39 loss's
Ezzard Charles suffered a horrendous amount of losses late in his career when he was ill.
Lew Jenkins record isn't great, nor is Beau Jack'

Don't back pedal Wass !! I agree 100% .. He did purposely incorporate fouling into his game because he needed it to win .. This clown would lead with his head gloves down from the outside !! It has absolutely nothing to do with being over or under rated.. If people can't see what is clearly intentional, that is there problem, not ours !!! It's a "convenience" for the ref to call accidental instead of intentional, too much money involved

Rodrigo Valdez. Ranked 29 on Ring's greatest 100 punchers of all time.
He was the only boxer to ko Benny Briscoe and only one of two men to
floor Carlos Monzon. Like Esteban De Jesus he had the bad luck of being
champion when there was a great fighter who dominated the division.

Emmanuel Augustus is my pick and falls perfectly into this category. The most skilled fighter to ever fly under the radar.

Good one. I'll also add to that he had the double bad luck of not only facing one of the greatest middleweights of all time but when he was ready to go up against him and in the shape of his life, his brother was killed two days before the fight. Understandably, Valdes wasn't in the right frame of mind to beat Monzon that night.

Audley Harrison . No sorry Im new here I dont think I meant him !

Ricardo Lopez I think if you needed a text book his technical skills would be the blue print .
Not the most thrilling fighter in history but not many can touch him for his skill level
