If Froch rematched Ward, he still would have lost. Probably far more comprehensively. Ward has the ability and ring IQ to go up a level when required whereas Froch simply does not.

If the rematch happened, Froch would have had more than a nose job. He would have gotten full face plastic surgery and disappeared from Britain.

Ward was a massive beneficiary of Roc's spending spree. Ultimately, that was just bad business for the company, and they couldn't afford to keep overspending to satisfy their stars.

With where he was career-wise, there was no way he was going to go back taking a bunch of low reward, high risk fights for substantially less $$$.

Froch is always bitter regarding fighters he sees or saw as threats or put him in a position in which he questioned himself.

As for Ward I do believe that he'd of taken a L off at least 1 or not 2 of the top tier at 175. I thought Kovalev beat him 116-111 in their first fight and imo I think Beterbiev and Gvozdyk beat Ward and Bivol I will reserve my judgement until he faces Barrera.

Ward retired to keep his 0.

His story regarding the GGG changes everytime he's asked about it.

Last I heard GGG wanted it at 165, Froch was 1st and been retired for 2 years SMH.

Ward retired when somebody told him that the single leg and the nut punch were actually illegal in boxing.

Froch himself said of a rematch with Ward

"Nah, he'd beat me again, on points, a UD. Boring. I'd love to chin him though"

Clearly, he knows Ward was a level above him and also doesn't like him.

Can't blame the man for speaking his mind.

Bivol is a ****en bum. He hasn't fought a live body yet and he doesn't deserve a title shot either.

Typical Froch talk. He doesnt like Ward and when he doesnt like somebody he likes to add his own bitter twist on things.

The hate against ward from allcomers is getting tyring now. Even in retirement he still doesnt get his fair dues. Everyone spent years telling each other how great froch and kovalev are/we,re.

Ward went out there and beat both of them. He actually moved up in weight after a lengthy lay off and still beat kovalev. The guy you's all said...was an animal. Instead of giving ward his due its just excuse after excuse its been that way for years. Its time to be men about it....ward was a terrific fighter...one of the best of his generation. The guy walked away cause he was tired of men acting like children refusing to give him his fair dues. Probably other things as well but the guys CV is solid. The time to give up the charade was after the first kovalov fight. Even that was too late. Kovalev was a killer in everybodies eyes. Ward went up in weight after a lengthy lay off and for me beat him. Not everyone agrees he won...but it was at the very least very close on the cards. For that alone and the billing kovalev received for years on here was more than enough to give him his dues. Especially that he sorted it in the second fight.

He had a 2 year layoff and fought 3 times at light heavyweight in 2 years prior to facing Kovalev in a fight the majority of people had him losing.

Let's not act as though he had the layoff and jumped straight in.

Effective if horrible to watch fighter though, having said that his total domination of Froch was his best fight to watch imo.

Who on Bivol's, Beterbiev or Gvozdyk resumes says that they can beat Ward? Ive seen some posters say that they can beat him, but who? I like the latter of the 3's potential. I don't rate Bivol at all yet. I like Froch but he's just bitter when it comes to Ward.

Ward has retired early just as the division has come as strong as I can remember it.

Let's be accurate...he fought 3 nobodies at light heavy before going in with kovalev after a two year lay off and still came away with two wins. Its not the easiest weight to jump.

Kovalev was meant to be the killer...the guy that was to put an end to ward...now he dealt with that we,ve had every excuse under the sun...ref cheated. Low blows. Kovalev never trained. And now its wards ran away cause the divisions good. Even tho wards took on and beat froch the warrior...Kessler a man thats used to confirm calzaghe was a great. And kovalev a guy everyone called an animal. People are now finding guys that haven,t beat a single decent challenger....and claiming its the reason ward retired. The truth is the guy was a great fighter. There should be no debate about it. This whole effective but horrible to watch vendetta...is silly. You don't get to where ward got to in boxing by just being an effective fighter. He was a great fighter. He answered that question more than a few times.
