Gvozdyk is the future at 175.

He's the beast everyone seems to discount, and I still can't process why, he has a far more impressive resume than Bivol and Beterbiev, therefore more proven at the top level, sometimes people let knockdowns cloud their view a little too much, it blinds them to what should be right in front of their eyes. He's easily the most skilled, fastest and most awkward of the 3 and wil be hell for most fighters to have to deal with, including Beterbiev and Bivol.

Not special enough for Andre Ward.
Andre Ward already cleared out Western Europe in 2011-2012
He be the so called killer beat from Russia, Kovalev, 2 times and everyone was gloating about him murdering a man in the ring.
Ward would just embarrass this rookie and you would name another. Some guys are just far better than others , just except it.

Kovalev was holding like an octopus but let's ignore people ignore that.

When are they going to fight each other?
Ward is gone so does that mean they are all bums or do they need Ward to validate them?
A Russian fighting a Russian never comes up much around here.

Ward moved up to 175 with every intention of fighting the top dog, #1 in the division, top 5 P4P ranked fighter in Kovalev, a man that beat an opponent to death in the ring, not once, but twice and you fools believe a still green Bivol chased Ward into retirement? Get over it fellas, Kov could not make the necessary adjustments in the second fight and got whooped! Fantasizing about another fighter scaring Ward because your boy couldn't get the job done doesn't change reality. Ward at this stage beats Bivol very easy. Bivol want none of SOG or Kov!

    Agree 100%.

He's also the best puncher, his combination punching along with his footwork would prove a very hard night for Ward.

My only concern would be a drawn out wrestling type of affair.

But he is the standout fighter and as you say he's the guy who nobody seems to mention as the next king.

He's my favourite fighter currently along with Lomachenko.

Froch is envious that Ward passed the big test in Kovalev, and never gave Froch the chance to get a $20 million pay day in a rematch in Birmingham.

How am I supposed to know?
I don't give a **** about Ward, I'm glad he's retired, and as far as the question goes, I don't view the sport through that prism.
I love watching Russians fight Russians, as long as I don't like one of them, and I'm not all that in love with Beterbiev, although Gvozdyk-Bivol will cause me a degree of discomfort, but would still be solidly rooting for Gvozdyk.

It took him two fights and countless advantages to do so, because he certainly didn't pass a damn thing the first time around.

I doubt Gvozdyk would allow Ward to get close enough for that to occur, his control of distance is very underrated, his speed would cause Andre a ton of different, he'd be tagged with clean hard counters every time he tried to et on the inside to wrestle.

And same here, and you can throw in Usyk as well.

You said this about Kovalev, whilst you can argue he beat Ward for the first fight I don't think he was a nightmare for Ward.

Since he beat him, I WAS RIGHT. Because you have to be a nightmare for Ward to beat him, since he's pretty ****ing good.

After watching froch's boxing, I highly doubt that he can understand ward's boxing.

I bet froch has no F clue about what's happening in the ring while ward fights.

Actually he did. You just let your dislike for Ward cloud your judgement. He didn't fold under pressure. He dealt with the adversity of getting knocked down, and he got in Kovalev's head. He made Kovalev wrestle his way to a loss, in part due to the fact that he made Kovalev think he had to show he was the stronger man inside. While Ward was working in the clinches, Kovalev was simply grappling. I'm not a big Ward fan either, but give Ward his props. He handles his business in the ring. Sure the Diva mentality is not likable, and I'm one of the first guys to call fighters out on that bull****, but nobody made Kovalev take the fight. Kathy Duvas dumb arse should have done her job and got different officials, instead of crying about it after the fact.
