I often think this too but then look at some of the damage he did actually do with single punches and think, well why not. Granted he had that great hand speed and ability to put punches together and was a helluva finisher but man he did some damage at times with single shots.

Jose Ribalta said the exact same thing. He was not impressed with Tyson's power at all. It was his speed that astonished him. I agree with you Tyson's power is massively overrated. #2 like that poster had him, ahead of Liston and Foreman is a joke.

A few people have said that now. Looks like I should do a bit more research and re-think my heavyweight list

I think that for pure power by a single shot tommy morrison and tua did hit harder than liston and tyson. Pinklon thomas said that morrison was harder puncher than Tyson and i have no problem with this afirmation because tommy was brutal with his left hook.

You have to include Engels Pedroza and Ricardo 'Pajarito' Moreno.

Pedroza was 42-9 with 40, 22 straight to start his career. Moreno was 60-12 with 59.

Did they knock out anyone notable or fighters with iron chins? Any good fights of either that I could check out?

I've been wow'ed by knockout ratios before (Zamora and Jaime Garza come to mind) only to later be disappointed when I found out they were so limited in other areas of the game, so I try not to fall in love with "numbers" quite so much in my boxrec exploring as of late :hang:risas3:
