More like £1k - £2k depending on level of opponent/number of rounds. Definitely more than most prospects per year and vital to the game
There was a 3-0 prospect who posted on here last week (Anesu Twala) who has been in against Kristian Laight who is 12-262-8, only been stopped 5 times too according to Boxrec! That is pretty impressive. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/216597
Kevin is a very very fit lad and tbh doesn't really take much punishment most of his fights, him and William give young pro's valuable experience and if they aren't good enough then they can be upset especially if the opponent is giving it the big un beforehand
Min is 1100 for 4rds..journeymen dont earn less than this. A good ftiend of mine has opted to do the journeyman route. So i know what it takes to be a good journeyman and by that i mean that you can be fighting every week, sometimes been notified in the morning and your fighting on the evening. Youve to make the show look good whilst trying to take as few clean shots as possible, been a good journeyman is an art, believe me.
To be honest, I don't particularly like the British journeyman system. Obviously there are some like Adam Jones and Jordan Ellison who come to win every fight. But such is the system that technically very talented guys like Warburton know they can't do this or they won't be asked back. If Warburton boxed to win every time rather than just when some pup has annoyed him or he is in against a semi decent name (beat Jason Welborn last year) he would win against 75% of small hall prospects. Nothing personal against Warburton by the way, lovely guy - as are Jamie Quinn and Kevin McCauley who this also applies to.
